Tiller, in a ceremony held April 18 at Tiller South Ump qua Community church. Tha Rev. Hilton Park offic iated at the double ring rites attended by more than 200 relatives and friends. Baskets of white and orchid colored flower decorated tha church for the four o'clock afternoon ceremony. A flower arrange ment, candles and Bible were at the aJtar. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wora a floor length white gown of nylon organs ever net and taffeta etyled on princess iiosa, Tha neckline and side panel of tha skirt ver trimmed with iridescent sequin and Venice lace. The skirt back was ac cented by a bustle and her fingertip length silk illusion veil was held by a tiara of Fellowship Luncheon Set Friday The annuel May Fellowship lunehson, which is a high light in each year activities of special days as observed by the Medford Council of Uni ted Church Women, will be held in the YMCA building, Friday, May 8. A May basket luncheon will be served at 12 noon with Mrs, Lionel Rankin and Mr. Byron Pierce chairmen of ar rangements. Ma Everett Fa ber, president of the council, will introduce guests during tha luncheon period, Under the theme "Citizen ship - Free and Responsible," Mrs. Everett Lasher and Mr. Lyle Schoppert, co-chairman for the day, have arranged a program of music, talks and a ekit which will depict the im portance of informing our selves regarding measures to be voted on during the coming election and the candidates eeking office. Werner directing. The progtam has been termed a "Pops" concert and works by Victor Herbert, Kern, Oflenbach, Gershwin, Friml, Guion and Hosner will be played ar.d sung. Three well known vocal soloists will be featured in numbers from Kern' "Show Boat" and Gershwin "Porgy and Bess." They ar Mrs. Henry (Sylvia) DeVoss, Tal ent; Mrs. John iSue) Boe, Grants Pass; and Maynard Hadiey. Mrs. Devoss is a so prano, Mrs. Boe, a contralto, anotis and ribbons on a white Bible. ' Miss Linda Lohr, Santa Criii, Calif., was honor at tendant for her sister. Miss Marilyn Howell, sister of the bridegroom, and Miss Diane K. Garrison, Eugene, cousin of the bride, were brides maids. They wore orchid bro cade sheath frock with matching nylon organra over skirts. Their headdresses ver orchid and held orchid veils. They each carried a small white Bible, gift of the bride, with vanda orchid and lily of the valley. Lindon Powell. Ashland, served as best mas and seat ing the guests were Carl Giles, Day Creek, Robin Kiep, Rose burg; and Leon Newman. Richard Tibhet and Thomas Bayns, lighted the candles and assisted In (eating guests. For her daughter's wedding Mrs. Lohr choss e beige dress with avocado accessories. Mr, Howell wore beige frock with orchid accessories. Following the ceremony reception was held in the Till er school auditorium. Mrs. Resd Garrison, Eugene, aunt of tha bride, cut and served the wedding cake assisted by Miss Dorothy Newman, Eu gene, Mr, iohn Harder, Can by, and Mrs. Harold Bauor, Hiliaboro, aunts of the bride, pourad tha coffe and punch. They were assisted by Mine Velma Tibbets, Miss Snndra laler and Miss Sylvia Pirfcs, Mrs, Lester Estep and Miss Penny Garrison, Eugene, cous in of the bride, wra in charge of the guest book and Miss France Newman, Eu gene, and Mis Mary Harder, Canby, cousin of the brida, wara at tha gift table, Mrs. Donald Newman was in charge of flowars and decora tion. Tha bride is graduate of Canyonville High school and attended Bethany Bible col lege, Santa Cruz, Calit.. for two years, Site is 3 typist for the L. M. Ross company, Can yonville, Mr, Howell t s graduttta of Day Creek High school and served with the U. S. Navy. He is employed by tha Alberti-Boyd Logging company. The couple will return to their home today in Tiller bow a wedding trip to south ern California, For traveling fits bride wore brocade suit at Mttamarine with black ac cMserie and wJiite gloves. Tickets will be on sal at the door. Newlyweds To Live In Medford Eagle Point - Mr. and Mrs Donald Windsor Cox will make their home in Medford following their wedding trip to northern O-egon. The cou ple was married April 23 at the New Age church with fhe Rev. D. E. Millard officiating The bride is the former Mrs. Varta Marie Christensen 38 North B street, daughter of Mr, and Mrs, Soren Hansen, Eagle Point. Mr. Cox is a son of Mr. Alice i, Cox, S3 West Third treet The bride wore a pink ny lon over taffeta frock with pink accessories and her flow ers were gardenias, Mr, and Mrs. David F. Cox, brother and sister-in-law of the bridegroom, attended the couple. Mrs. Co chose a silk checked frock of pink, white and light blue with light blue and pink accessories. The brida cams to the Rogue River valley about a year ago from Wisconsin. Mr. Cox, a native of Idaho, lived in Grants Pass for five years prior to moving to Eagle Point in 11(47.
