(UPI Telephoto) Family Council Dolores L. - Can I believe my husband? Bob L. - She should have defended me. Dolores L. -After what I thought was a happy marriage of ten years, I have discover ed that my husband' is the worst kind of philanderer and I don't know what to do about the future. A few weeks ago, the par ents of our teenage babysitter came to us and told us that their daughter had revealed intimacies with my husband. They didn't want to take legal action because they feared exposing their daughter, but they said they would do ev erything possible to "make it hot" for us in the community. My husband denied every thing and said the girl had "misinterpreted a goodnight kiss he gave her once when he drove her home. I dont know what to think. I am half crazy with worry and asham ed to hold my head up any more. Bob L. - It was my wife's business to come to my de fense as soon as these people made these crazy accusations. Instead she turned on me and started to scream and cry and this girl's parents immediately took it as a confession of guilt. The girl involved is a real tramp at age 15. She has been making eyes at me and talk ing in a wised-up way since the first time she came to our house. I talked to her about her boy friends and the things she admitted made my hair stand on end. After a few sessions -of this kind of thing I gave her a good lecture and she promised to. be good. We sealed the promise with a goodnight kiss and that was that. The rest was pure imagination on the kid's part. I should think my own wife would believe me. The Council - It is entirely possible that the girl's story is imaginary, but that does not absolve Bob from misconduct. We have" no doubt that the girl is a flirt and a menace. If she were not, she couldnt have gotten so involved. When she suspected a mar ried, older man making ad vances she would have remov ed herself from the house hold at once. But this still doesn't absolve Bob from mis conduct. From Bob's own story we consider his misconduct very serious. We are certain that he has the intelligence to un derstand that he had no busi ness engaging a "wised-up" teenager in sexy talk about her boy friends. We also think he knows enough to realize that kissing the babysitter goodnight or accepting prom ises about her conduct is not among his responsibilities. This sort of behavior can only be interpreted as miscon duct-perhaps not of so serious a nature as the girl contends, but serious enough to arouse the fear and anger of any set of parents or any wife. Bob should face himself more honestly and recognize that he has a problem with himself. Instead of turning back an accusing finger at his wife, he should ask for for giveness and help. His lack of judgment and control can lead him into increasingly 54th Year Price 10 Cents Section B Evidence of Flying Saucers Declared Found Alamogordo, N. M. - UPD -A research group says it has uncovered evidence that indi cates unidentified aerial ob jects from "somewhere other than . earth" are operating within the earth's atmos phere. The Aerial Phenomena Re search Organization notified air force officials in Washing ton that the group has in its possession actual physical evi dence that flymg saucers are extra-terrestrial in origin. Physical Evidence "The most advanced labor atory tests, including specto alalysis, indicate the material could not have been produced by any known method on earth," Coral Lorenzen, direc tor of APRO said. In -his letter to Maj. Law rence J. Thacker, PIO spokes man for the Air Force, Loren zen said the physical evidence is a portion of "an extra-ter-restial vehicle that crashed in the earth's atmosphere." APRO offered to submit the material to the Air Force for scientific study. APRO is made up of scientists, astron omers and space and missile experts, and is headquartered in Alamogordo. Lorenzen said in his letter to Thacker: "A release which you is sued early this year states that no physical or material evidence, not even a minute fragment of so-called flying saucers, has ever been found. This statement, as it stands, is not true. Catastrophe Witnessed "APRO has in its possession- the physical " evidence which the United States Air Force denies having been able to acquire. It is in fact, a portion of an extra-terrestrial vehicle which met with disaster in the earth's atmos phere. The catastrophe was witnessed by numerous hu man beings. The gratifying aspect of this case, however, is that we do not have to de pend on the testimony of wit nesses to establish the reality of the incident for the most advanced laboratory tests in dicate that the residual mate rial could not have been pro duced through the applica tion of any known terrestrial techniques." Wall Street Chatter New York (UPD - A major drop in stock prices this year could undercut business and investor confidence and trig ger a general business down turn, according to Prof. Rob ert C, Turner of Indiana Uni versity. . Writing in the university's business, review, the professor notes that stock prices have been much too high for the past year and obviously are based on speculator's assump tion there is going to be in flation. But Professor Turner does not believe there will be more general inflation or that cor porate profits will rise nearly enough in the sixties to justi fy the way the stock market has gone up in the last year. Therefore, he points out, a moderate decline in stock prices now might be healthy, but a big decline now would be serious. He believes the possibility cannot be over looked so long as prices re main way up. "The very sober boom of 1958-60 has now reached its danger point. Sales of hard goods, especially of autos and machinery, in the next 60 days will decide whether that boom, over-all, is already top ping out - or whether we're due for further modest gains before a peak later"this year," reports Prentice-Hall in its Weekly Review of Business. ROBERT SMITH Mail Tribune Washington Correspondent Washington -(Special)- The first widely extended opinion poll in Oregon on the idea of creating a na tional sea shore park on the Oregon coast shows those who fa vor the idea o u tn u m b er those who op pose it. The poll was taken by O. Porter (D- A. Rout. Smith Rep. Charles Ore.), whose 4th congression al district includes the stretch of coast between Florence and Reedsport under ' consid eration for the park. Of 7088 returns thus far tabulated, those who said they favored the park numbered 3808 and those who said they opposed it numbered 2882. Porter found by tabulating these returns by counties that those who favored the park were in the majority in all seven counties from which returns came, but in some in stances by the narrowest of margins. Greatest number of opin ions came from Lane county, where 1454 said "yes" to the park and 1375 said "no." From Jackson county 661 said they favored it, 370 op posed. From Coos county 624 said they were for it, 341 opposed. From Douglas coun ty, 448 were for it and 278 against. From Linn county, 217 yes, 183 no; Josephine county, 222 yes, 197 no; and Curry county, 115 yes, 114 no. Another Questionnnaire Only about a third of the returns from Porter's poll have been tabulated thus far, his office reported. He sent questionnaires to over 100, 000 western Oregon residents. The seashore question was the first of 12 on the list. Meanwhile, Porter this week sent another question naire to the 398 property owners in the area of the proposed park to seek their views on the issue. He indicat ed he is skeptical that the Western Lane Taxpayers asso ciation, which has been vocal izing the opposition to the na tional seashore, speaks for many residents of the Oregon coast. "It is likely that Congress will act on this legislation during this sesssion," Porter wrote the property owners "I'd appreciate having your opinions, particularly with re spect to these questions: 1. Do you favor the pro posed recreation area? 2. Are you opposed to it un der any conditions? 3. What conditions do you regard as essential in the pro posed legislation? Porter said he would take into account suggestions he receives when drafting his own bill to authorize the sea shore development. He said they would also be conveyed to the Interior Department. The National Park service, meanwhile, has finished a re port commenting on features Americans Seized By Cuban Police Havana - (UPD - Two Ameri cans, one of them a candidate for Congress, were seized by Cuban police and held for 10 hours of questioning before their release Saturday. Joseph Taylor, 28, a can didate for Congress in Still well, Okla., and Roger Sharp, a television news director, were arrested Friday while Sharp was taking pictures in side the agrarian reform pro-' gram building in Havana. Taylor said he and Sharp were refused permission to call the U. S. embassy. "The United States doesn't obey international law and we don't either," Taylor said he was told when he protested that he had legal right to call the embassy for help.
