San Francisco want ed Waldo because he looks ferocious while Pacific Ocean sharks look gentle.1 Waldo and Winnie are sand tiger sharks native to the Atlantic and have a mouthful of teeth and a tri angular dorsal fin. Both arc " about four feet long. The Sieinhart Aquarium already has Waldo in a tank on view to the public. Waldo's wailing for Win nie, all leeih with smiles. Dominican 'Thugs' Flee To Embassy Ciudad Trujillo, D. Grange News Upper Applegale Grange The next meeting of the Up per Applegate Grange will be in the hall Feb. 26. The last meeting was Feb. 12 with Master Gail Buffing . ton presiding. Two couples were elected to become members. Secretary Mrs. Omar Culy was reported ill with the flu. Agriculture Chairman George Redhead reported on the ban on cattle being ship ped to California. HEC chairman announced the coming Mother's day din ner. She also reminded mem bers to bring in their sales slips. Out of 13 measures up for the primary ballot only one so far has reached the goal. That one concerns the raising of legislative salaries which are now only $600 to $2,000. Ways and Means chairman reported that the stockman's dinner, the Southern Oregon Farm Tanks dinner and Feb. 13 dance were a success. Mrs. Curt Gerhart explain ed several projects for the community and youth pro grams, since the Grange be ing eligible for these projects. So far 10 4-H members are entering the sewing contest sponsored by the National Grange. Cards were received from the Buckley and Jr. Hibbs families. The Ruch PTA sent their thanks for the con tribution from the Grange for the Christmas candy fund. Thursday, March 3, a lec turer's conference will be held at Midland Grange, Klamath Falls. All members are urged to attend the visitations of va - rious Granges. The house committee is working on the heating sys tern, since more heat is need-d. . The lecturer's program was ' in honor of Lincoln. The Phoenix degree team lead by Dee Hendricks will be ' at the hall on Monday, : March 7, to give candidates , the first and second degrees. This is a special meeting. All ' Granges with candidates ready :for the first two degrees are ; welcome. George Redhead announced 'a practice in the hall for the team of the third and fourth degrees. It is hoped that the newly formed chorus will practice. The serving committee for Feb. 26 will be Mr. and Mrs. Rutler and Mr. and Mrs. Curt Gerhart. TYLER DESCENDANT DIES Lawrence, N.
