It is Spanish and means "the meadows." Plans for Sports Show Are Discussed Preparations for the annual sports show of Crater Lions club were discussed at a meeting Tuesday at Ping's Gardens. The show is set for March 26 and 27. Hugh Simpson of Southern Oregon college spoke on pub lic relations and also pointed out what SOC offers in higher education. Simpson, who is advisor to the college newspaper, show ed booklets and illustrations relative to his talk. They in cluded pictures of graduates of the school when it was called Southern Oregon Nor mal college. A guest at the meeting was Lion Del Bailey, Anchorage, Alaska, who was en route from Hawaii to New York. 4-H NEWS Antelope Livestock The Jacksonville club and two new members attended a meeting of Antelope Livestock 4-H club Feb. 11 at Antelope school. The beef club was in charge -of the program and showed a film, "Chisholm Trail." Songs and games fol lowed the showing. Glenn Klein, county 4-H agent, presented Georgia Hub bard a watch given by the Carnation company for her junior champion dairy demon stration. Refreshments were served. The next meeting will be March 11 at 7:30 p.m. at An telope school with the Pig club in charge of the pro gram. Georgia Hubbard, Reporter. Griffin Creek Dairy Griffin Creek Dairy club met at the home of Bonnie Brantley on Coker Butte rd. Marthanne Goodwin, presi dent, called the meeting to order. They found the rabbit with an in jured foot in a wooded area, bandaged the foot, and made a soft bed. for the rabbit near their own bedroom.
