The Mail Tribune has re
ceived a letter from Mrs. Mar
guerite Kelly, Seattle, north

club's contribution of S300
represented a "magnificent
amount." Mrs. Clay M. Lee is
president of the club.
The money was raised for
a special project in Greece
sponsored by the Oregon Fed
eration of Women's clubs,
with which Travel Study club
is affiliated. The Medford
club, one of the city's newer
organizations, has but 22
members. Mrs. Lee has been
informed by state federation
officers that all federated
clubs of the state raised but
slightly more than $600.
Travel Study club members
gave a silver tea, a rummage
sale and put out small CAKE
boxes throughout the city in
which citizens might place
contributions.
In her letter Mrs. Kelly
wrote:

"Everyone in Medford who
helped make possible this
most generous portion of the
project can be proud of their
participation. Because more
than two schools will be sup

this amount,, through CARE,
hundreds of worthy, indus

will have an opportunity to
learn new trades, to become
skilled workers in their own
communities, not only sup
porting . themselves and their
families, but helping to build
their own areas of Greece.
"CARE is most grateful to
the Travel club and your
community for making pos
sible such valuable aid to
young people in one of the
poorest European countries
