Mining Council fo Meet Thursday The annual dinner of the Northwestern Mining council has been set for Thursday, Feb. 4, at 6:30 p.m. in the Jacksonville Community hall ai the corner of Third and C sts. The council will furnish baked ham, beans, rolls and coffee. Each member is asked to take a salad or dessert, or both. A "white elephant" sale will be held. ij A business meeting and election of offiers is scheduled lat 7:30 psn. ' Members are reminded that an adult education course on prospecting being taught by Norman Peterson of the Grants Pass office of minerals and geology started Feb. 2 at Medford High school. The class will be held each Tues day at 7 p.m. in Room 239 of the school and registration will remain open through Feb. 9. The course will run for 10 weeks and will cost $10.
