terbug," was presented to the
student body Friday, Jan. 15.
James Douglas was the judge.

school custodian, Pat Kilby;
clerks, John Pruitt and Di
anne Clark; school principal,
Robert Phillips; a school
mate, Katie Cook; defendant,
James Macknicki; jury, James
Bennett, William Bennett,
Joyce Funk, Stephen Ogier,
Karen Spafford, Otis Win
chell, Donald Wicker. Cheryl
Gardner and Bonita Denyer
organized and directed the
play. The play was the result
of a reading lesson in the
sixth grade;
Physical examinations were
given to all new students
Monday, January 11. Notes
were sent home to the parents
explaining the results of the
exams.
The basketball players are
practicing for the schedule of
games.
The cheer leaders and pep
club are learning "yells" to
help pep up the games.
The third six weeks exams
will be given Jan. 25-29. This
finishes one half of the school
year.
Dave Wisely's pupils danc
ed several square dances for
the PTA. The dances were
learned during the physical
education classes. Don Perry
is PE instructor.
Ping - pong games are in
progress during play periods.
A hand tennis tournament is
also scheduled. We like all
these activity sports.
Many new books are arriv
ing in the library every week.
The books are checked out as
soon as they arrive. The cir
culation for December was
1 540 Usually the circulation
over 2,000 books a month.
