Further, the anticipated breather in- the stock market will result in substantial switches from equities to debt investments, it notes. . "Another turn in the screw toward easier money is seen in the anticipated 1961 fed eral budget surplus. And if the surplus is used for debt retirement . . . The govern ment would be releasing money rather than bidding for it." Exam Now Open for Guard at Domiciliary Civil service examination is now open for guard at the yeterans administration Dom iciliary at Camp White, Enid L. Brown, executive secretary for the board of civil service examiners at the Domiciliary, has announced. Information concerning ex perience requirements is con tained in the examination an nouncement, and may be ob tained at the Medford post office or board of civil serv ice examiners, Camp White. Grange Notes Eagle Point Grange At the regular meeting of Eagle Point Grange Jan. 19, it was announced mn. mona Grange would hold its next meeting in the Eagle Point Grange hall Saturday, Januarv 23. at 1 pjn. Dr. Leonard Mayfield, sup erintendent of Medford schools, will speak on his recent trip to Russia, and the public is invited to attend. There will be no charge.. Kt the Eagle Point Grange meeting, E. M. and Martin Kunkel of Eagle Point were obligated in the first and sec- a Wpar. A letter was read from Mrs. Lottie Van' Scoy, a member of the Eagle Point Grange for over 28 years withdrawing her mem bership due to moving from the community. It was voted to carry Mrs. Van Scoy as an honorary member. It was announced that tne Grange charter will be draped at the meeting Feb. 2 in memory of Mrs. Nellie May Clarke, long-time member and formerly chaplain of the Eagle Point Grange. Appointed to represent the Eagle Point -Grange at a forthcoming meeting of the Rogue Valley Flood Control board was Wilford E. Davies, treasurer. Mrs. Lester Mc Fall, Home Economics com mittee chairman, advised that the next meeting of the com mittee will be at her home on South B st., Eagle Point, Wed nesday, Jan. 27, with Mrs. Clifford H. It has been decided, however, to postpone a January party, and the date for the February affair will be announced later.
