The Rev. Leroy Nid ever of Kerby will officiate. Interment will be in Mom tain View cemetery. Mr. Giesler was born in Portales, N.M., Jan. 19, 1931, and has lived in the Ashland- Talent area for the past 23 years. A graduate of Wilburn, Wash., High school, he started working for Southern Pacific in 1950. On July 24, 1952, in Reno, Nev., he was married to Earl ene Barrett, who survives. Other survivors include three children, Ricky Earl, Terry Ray and Karen Deloras, all of Ashland; his mother and step-father, Mr. and Mrs, Tommy Mendenhall, Med- ford; a brother, Billie D. York; two sisters, Mrs. Patricia Crowson and Frances Men denhall, Medford. WILLIAM BERGEN Ashland William (Billie) Graham Bergen, 27, of 2495 Highway 66, Ashland, died early today. - He was born in Kemmerer Wyo. Survivors include his narents. Mr. and Mrs. Peter A. Bereen. BALLARD Relatives here have receiv ed news of the death Dec. 29 in ML Shasta of Gerald H. Ballard, former Medford resi dent. He died of a heart attack in a ML Shasta hospital. He was born, in Lakeview. April 9, 1904. Survivors include his wife, Velva, Weed; his mother, Mrs, Mae Ballard, and two broth ers, Clark and Everett Bal lard, and a sister, Mrs. Jessie Stagg, all of Medford; broth ers, Ellis Ballard, O'Brien, Ore., Raymond Ballard, Corn ing, Calif., and Earl Ballard, Quincy, Calif.; sisters, Mrs. Esther Cbown, Long Beach, Calif., and Mrs. Geneva Ker win, Dorris, Calif.; and a num ber of nieces and nephews. He had been employed by the Long Bell Lumber com pany. He worked for Timber Products before leaving Med ford about 15 years ago. Funeral services will be in Weed. A.-W.
