Three Accidents Reported to State Police in Area State police today reported three accidents Thursday aft ernoon and evening. No one was seriously injured, offi cers said. A car driven by Howard Lee Brown, 17, of route 4, box 369E, Medford, pulled across the South Pacific highway yesterday afternoon, from Bear. Creek Orchards and was struck by a car driv en by Duane George Daniels, 18, of 207 First St., Phoenix, which was traveling north on Highway 99, state police said. Brown was informed a com plaint would be filed against him charging improper changing of lanes, officers said. A second accident occurred yesterday at 7:30 p.m. on Highway 99 three miles north of the Siskiyou summit, offi cers said. A car carrying four passengers and driven by James Wrevw Swift, 32, of Sacramento, Calif., went out of control in the snow and rolled over. The ear was reported dam aged beyond repair and the family returned to Sacramen to by bus. Another accident also oc curred about 7:30 pjn. when two cars collided on the Jack sonville highway in front of Matlack's store, state police said. A car driven by Edwin Eu gene Christensen, 16, of 178 Car Brings Rain' In Redwood City Redwood City -UPD- Sidney Paul Givens Jr brought a 16-inch downpour to Redwood City Thursday but it will not go into the weather rec ord books. Givens lost control of his car and it sheared off a hy drant, sending a geyser of wa ter onto the roof of a building. It was soon a foot deep there, with four inches on the floor below and more gushing through the ventilators. Damage to the files, elec tronic machines, audio equip ment and furnishings was estimated at $100,000. Wine ma Way, Medford, stop ped to make a left turn onto Ross lane when it was struck in the rear by an auto driven by Carol Yvonne Setty, 21, of 1870 Stewart ave., Med ford. Carol Setty complained of an injured foot and her pas senger, Robert Glathar 10, Vashit Way, Medford, receiv ed a bump on the head. State police informed Carol Setty that a complaint would be filed charging her with fol lowing too close. Electronic Technicians Sought by U.S. Agency The federal aviation agency has announced a need for electronic technicians for work on radar, air naviga tional aids and radio commu nications equipment in sever al locations throughout the 11 western states. MEDFORD SHOPPING CENTER Three Injured in Two of Four Auto Accidents in Citv Three persons were injured in two of four traffic acci dents reported to city police Wednesday and Thursday. Mrs. Janet Dea Pigg, 18, of 911 Murray st., and her 4- year-old daughter, Debra Kay Pigg, were taken to the Rogue Valley hospital after the car Mrs. Pigg was driv ing hit a parked wrecking truck on Murray st between Peach and Hamilton sts., Wednesday evening about 6:48 p.m., according to city police. Police said Mrs. Pigs daughter apparently knocked a box of soap chips off of the car seat and Mrs. Pigg glanced down at the box and hit the truck. One Uninjured ' Debra Pigg, suffered a cut leg and mouth and possible other injuries, and Mrs. Pigg suffered a lacerated leg, nu merous cuts ' and possible other injuries police said. An other daughter, riding in the car was uninjured. The wrecker was registered to a neighbor of the Piggs, Jack Rey Sides, 928 Murray st Another accident resulting in an injury occurred at 10:20 pjn. Wednesday night at the intersection of Summit and Clark sts., according to city police. - Jack Edward King, 36, of 433 Fairmont St., was taken to the Rogue Valley hospital by Medford Ambulance service, where he was treated for a cut on the forehead and pos sible neck injuries, according to city police. Intersection Collision Police said a vehicle oper ated by Robert Otis Greb, 19, of 312 East 12th st., was head ing east on Clark st, and the King vehicle south on Sum mit st., when they collided at the intersection. Both drivers had their vi sion obstructed by shrubbery at the intersection, police said, and no citations were is sued. Beni Bolin, 63, of 180 Jean- nette st., was cited by city police for failure to yield the right of way, after the car he was driving backed into a vehicle operated by Curtis Roosevelt Sorenson, 59, of 721 South Peach st, at 1:50 p.m. Wednesday on Fourth st be tween Front st. and Central ave. Considerable Damage Police said that Bolin stopped his car. in front of Sorenson's vehicle and then backed into it causing con siderable damage to the front end of the latter car. There were no injuries they said.
