City police charged Burton R. Sims, owner of the truck, with permitting the vehicle to be unlawfully operated. Capt. Clyde Fichtner, Med ford police department, said the complaint was filed as the result of an investigation con ducted by city police and the Oregon State Industrial Acci dent commission. The investigation disclosed, he said, nine defects on the truck and trailer in violation of the Motor Vehicle Code and the Industrial Accident Code. They included defective seat, defective horn, illegal hitch, defects in the binder chains, bad tires, and no safety chains. Gold Hill Man Named Chairman of Group Albert L.
