Newlywed Couple
Lives in Ashland
Ashland - Mr. and Mrs.
William H. Flagg are making
their home at 42 Third
street, Ashland, following
their wedding September 20
in Ashland. Attending the
couple for the 3 o'clock after
noon rites were Robert Flagg,
son of the bridegroom, and
Daniel M. Bird, son of the
bride.
The bride is the former
Nettie Blanche White of Kc
koma, Ind. For the ceremony
she wore a white silk frock.

Red Cross Gray Ladies Honored
Gray Ladies were honored
; at the monthly meeting of the
board, of directors of the Jack-
' son County chapter, American
.Red Cross, held December 10.
Tod Tibbutt, vice - chairman,
presided.
Sixty - five members and
guests attended the luncheon
meeting. The honored Gray
Ladies serve at the Camp
White domicilary and assist
the Red Cross bloodmobiles.

the bloodmobile ' will be in
Medford Wednesday, Decem
ber 16, from 1 to 5 p.m.; the
quota is 290 pints.

of the Junior Red Cross coun
cil. He explained the activl

A dessert luncheon will be
served at 12:30 o'clock fol
lowed by. a business session.
Mrs. Jack Sides, Medford,
treasurer of the Southwest
Oregon Presbyterial, will be
installing officer. All women
nominated for offices in the
association for the coming
year are requested to attend.
Mrs. C. A. Stothers, presi
dent, reminds those who wish
to bring an article of food
which will be distributed in
the community for Christmas.

church some time between

lection for Christmas baskets
for the needy.
Progress Reported
Mrs. Joe Hearin, chairman
of production service, report
ed- on the progress of the 12
volunteers in her group who
are sewing needed articles for
the V. A. Domiciliary, and
urged those helping with fu
ture projects to contact the
office.
Elliott Becken gave a brief
explanation of the participa
tion of the Red Cross in the
Christmas giving project spon
sored by the Inter - Agency
Council. Red Cross facilities
are being used as a clearing
house in an. effort to avoid
duplication of food baskets to
the needy. Red Cross volun
teers are working with the
Public Welfare commission
and Salvation Army to screen
names turned in. Board mem
bers were advised that dona
tions of food or money would
be gratefully received by the
Christmas Bureau.
Appreciation was expressed
to Mrs. Otto Frohnmayer for
the Christmas music and .'to
Mrs. M. M. Huggins who pro
vided the unusual and artistic
decorations in keeping with
the holiday season. .
The luncheon was prepared
and serve.d by the Red Cross
volunteer canteen.
