But il you lose your life in almost any international air plane crash, the most your survivors could claim from the airline is $8,300. , . Lee Kreindler, a New York lawyer specializing in airplane damage cases, pointed to this disparity in urging the ceil ing be removed from the li ability of airlines operating on international routes. , The United States sub scribes to the Warsaw Con vention, a treaty which puts a $8,300 limit on how much an airline can be forced to pay in a damage suit stem ming from an international incident. ."Many experienced law yers," Kreindler said, "feel that the principle of limiting damages for personal injury and death ... is a totally ab horrent principle and snouid be abolished from our law." Ike Reconvenes Sfeel Fad-Finders Washington -(DP0- President Eisenhower reconvened his special fact - (finding board Wednesday tp help achieve a settlement of the steel dispute and prevent renewal of the strike. Under provisions of the Taft-Hartley Law, the board will participate in union- management talks for, a 60- day period dating from Nov, 7, when the Supreme Court upheld the injunction sending steelworkers back to . their jobs. , ' ' There were no immediate plans for board members to meet but federal mediators said they would be summoned to assist in seeking a peaceful solution to the steel dispute in the near future. Loccrf Man Sentenced In District Court Joseph George Mattey, S3, of 1234 Court St., was sentenc ed in district court Monday to 7!-i months in the county jail for petty larceny. He had pleaded guilty to the charges. The charge was reduced from robbery , by force and violence, not with a dangerous weapon and not be ing armed, according to court records. Mattey and John Lewis Cox, 41, Crater hotel, were ar rested by Medford police last June following an incident on Front st. Cox was given a similar sentence previously.
