Other likely of fensive starters for the Cru saders are Jim Valentine and Mike Duggan, tackles; George Lucas and Don MacPherson, guards; Tom Tom jack, center; Bob Evans, quarterback; Dick Evans and Alex Mete, half backs, and Terry Cooper, fullback. On defense Fred Lucas may be a linebacker, Mike Moore an end, Calhoun a halfback and Don Rausch a - tackle. They would replace Mete, Ja cobson, Bob Evans and Dug gan. Those who may start for the Moro team are T. DeMoss, center; T. Eakin and M.Zach- ary, guards; W. Reed and R. Mobley, tackles; O. Blaylock and E. Royce, ends; John Dun can, quarter, Jim Duncan and G. Thompson, halfbacks, and T. Kasberg,' fullback. The Medford team worked out yesterday morning and reportedly had a good scrim mage. McKibbin said that Cal houn suffered a split lip which necessitated a few stitches but will be able to play. Marv McGee, a fullback, pulled a shoulder muscle on Tuesday and is on the doubt ful list for the game. OSC Meets Stanford Corvallis (OPT) Oregon State and Stanford, eacfKwith 2-6 season's records, collide here Saturday in their next to last games of the season. Next week Oregon State closes out against Oregon and Stanford meets California. Among the fans . on - hand will be Gov. Nelson Rocke feller of New York. Coach Tommy Prothro probably will use Ron Miller at wingback. Art Gilmore is sidelined for the season with a shoulder separation while Amos Marsh also, has an in jury. Stanford's big weapon is the Bill Norman-to-Chris Burford passing combination. Norman Lhit 22 out of 34 passes against OSC last season when the Beavers won 24-16. Odell, Collins Fire Low Gross In UMC Tourney Dr. Ralph Odell with a 70 and Mrs. C. B. Collins with an 82 were gross winners in the United Medford Crusade golf tourney last Saturday at Rogue valley Country club. Ned Schuler with 66 and Mrs. Tom Teutsch with a 75 took first in men's and wom en's low net divisions. The tourney realized $372 for the UMC, largest amount for a special event during the drive. Long drive honors went to Mike Monroe and Mrs. Teutsch for low handlcappers and to Vera Lovette and Eva Shaylor for high handicap players. Tom Teutsch and Mrs. F. G. Bunch had closest to the pin in the low handicap divisions. Charles Meyer and Phil Rogers were closest among those in the men's high handicap and no handi cap divisions, respectively. Four of the 24 voting writ ers, three in each American league city, considered the tandem so inseparable that they split their first-place bal lots between the two. Fox drew 14 first place votes, five second-place votes and one third-place vote. Ap aricio won six votes for top honors, 13 : for second place and one for third. Warmath Will Be Paid to Quit Minneapolis, Minn. '. (CFD Murray Warmath will be paid $37,500 to quit as Minnesota football coach, a local busi nessman said today. Warmath has been . under fire because of the Gophers' poor showing this season. The team has won two of sfeven games this season and faces the prospect of ending in the Big Ten cellar. Charles D. Pyle Sr. said he was head of a group which had offered to pay Warmath for the remaining two years of his, Minnesota contract if he would resign. Learn to Swim Classes Slated A new "learn to swim" class will start at the Med ford YMCA on Nov. 21. Held on Saturdays at 9 a.m. instruction will be for two groups, beginning swim mers and those youngsters who can swim 25 feet. Limited to 20 children, ages 8-10, these classes-. will have two instructors to assure more' personal attention for each individual in the "pro gram. " rV. Lessons are free to YMCA members and there will be a fee for non-members. This fee will entitle non-members to 10 swimming lessons. Hearing Today New York - (DPD - Promoter Bill Rosensohn, acting as his own attorney, faced the New York state athletic commis sion today at a license-revocation hearing. Defending himself' against three misconduct charges, he had to "show cause" why his suspended license as match maker shall not be revoked permanently. The charges stemmed from Rosensohn's promotion of the June 26 fight at Yankee Sta dium, where Sweden's Inge mar Johanson won the world heavyweight title from Floyd Patterson. He is charged with consort ing with persons of ill repute -mobsters and gamblers, with transferring two-thirds of his stock in the Rosensohn Enter prises ' without notifying the commission, and with putting 200 working press tickets on sale in violation of commis sion rules. Turkey Shoot November 22 First of three special shoots this season at Medford Gun club will be the annual pre- Thanks-iving turkey event on Sunday, Nov. 22. Turkeys, hams and bacon will be prizes. Caird, Jacksonville, who recently re signed from the Jackson County Water Pollution Fact Finding committee, a Jackson ville city councilman said. Caird announced his resig nation Friday to be effective immediately. The county court, which had appointed Caird to the committee, re quested a recommendation from the Jacksonville city council.
