The attendance was a little higher than usual. A short meeting preceded the election, at which time a few commun ications were read. . One letter was from Charles O. Porter, who, in answer to a letter from the Grange, stated his views on flood con trol and conservation in the . Rogue , Valley. Congressman Porter states he is in favor of a broad comprehensive view, ; including all the phases of tne project. . . , , t The lecturer read a few lines from the letter concern ing the meeting for Nov. 14 in the First Methodist church, snnnsored by the State Coun cil on Aging, at .which the problems of the aged will be discussed. There will . be a " luncheon at noon, with speak ers in the morning and after noon. . -Reports were made by A. A. Walker on the school tax, and by Adah Jones, on the Cen tury Farm, where the reser voir is being expanded on this farm-now rented by the son M George W. Dunn, owner..
