Osaka, Japan (DPD World flyweight champion Pascual Perez retained his title , by knocking out Japanese chal lenger Sadao Yaoita in 55 seconds of the 13th round of their scheduled 15-round title bout before 20,000 spectators. The 33-year-old Perez show ed remarkable condition as he battered 24-year-old Yaoita with smashing lefty and rights to the body arid 'head. The end came suddenly., in the 13th when Perez shot a jolt ing right to Yaoita's stomach as Yaoita was stepping away. CRACKED - .' Los Angeles-tUTO-End Mar in McKeever has a cracked rib but probably will be able to start Saturday for South ern California against West Virginia, Coach Don Clark said today. McKeever, half of the Trojan twin combination, had the rib injured early in the season and cracked it last Saturday in the controversial game with Cal. Eight Medford Exhibitors In Autorama at Armory Eight exhibitors from Med ford are among entries 'in the Southern Oregon Autorama Saturday and Sunday at the Medford Armory. Listed from Medford among the 42 entrants are Clarence Allen, Dean Byers, Dr. Rus sell Barnes, L. R. Reavis, Jack Milhoan, Delbert Clifford, Monty Wray and LeeTaylor. Allen will show- a 1959 Chevrolet pick-up truck and Byers a 1939 Chevrolet coupe. Barnes will have a 1917 Stude baker at the show and Reavis a 1924 Buick. - Milhoan's ve hicle is a 1915 Model T. Ford and Clifford's a 1930JPackard. Wray and Taylor will sho Go-Karts. - The show of customized or personalized -" autos, hot rod cars and antique vehicles also will have an exhibitor from Talent, ;two from Ashland, three from Grants Pass, one with twc cars from Bend, four from Eugene, two from Rose- burg, one from Winchester, six from Portland and. nine from California.; . Mike Batinich, Grants Pass, who is putting on the show, has pointed to the thousands of hours of handwork that has gone into the vehicles, to the smart restyling and to the vivid array of colors that will be seen. There will be a for tune of chromed accessories, upholstery which would charm the most discriminat ing interior decorator and precision motors built and tested for competition. Batinich said that he has been dazed , at the response for entry into the show. He stated that he wished that there was more room so that additional cars . could have been shown instead of turned away.. - The autorama will include the sweepstakes winner and the people's choice winner of the Portland show. Batinich indicated that the California display will be "of the best." Souvenir programs of the San Francisco Custom, Rod and Antique show, will be given away to the first 300 people to arrive at opening time Sunday. J- Rogue Angling Reported Fair ' Around Galice Portland -(DPD- The weekly hunting and fishing , report prepared by the state game commission: Southwest: Elk hunting will be slow in Umpqua unit; scat tered numbers of pheasants hunting will depend on weath er; elk hunting best in east and north forks of Coos river and in Coos river drainage; waterfowl shooting should be good in Coos Bay area but pheasant hunting poor; water fowl hunting poor in Jackson and Josephine counties. ' Steelheading fair in North Umpqua river between Win chester, and Rock creek; salt mon angling slow on Tenmile lake but should improve with more rain; salmon angling poor in Coos and Coquille sys tem; angling in Rogue river fair in most places and good around Galice but practically over from Galice to the coast.
