Now it is different and scenes like this will be common in Med ford and other parts of Jackson county. Saturday night as youngsters collect coins for the annual UNICEF project in order that children in less fortunate countries may have food, clothing and medicine. Light sup plies of. calf and veal are mostly unchanged in price.. Medium and large size eggs are 1 to 2 cents a dozen lower in the Los Angeles area, but egg . prices are mostly un changed in other markets. Poultry is in moderate to am ple supply, and mostly un changed in price. Apples continue in heavy supply, and prices are declin ing. Other fresh fruit ard vegetable plentifuls include grapes, pears; cabbage, cauli flower, celery, lettuce, pota toes and tomatoes. . In good supply are avocados, melons, lemons, oranges, corn, cucum bers, onions, bell peppers, and sweet potatoes. Best buys in the fish line in clude salmon, halibut, rock fish, flounder, and sablefish. Eugene Bennett, a native of Jackson county, holds bache lor and master degrees in art from the Art '.Institute of Chi (?ago. He returned to'Medford 'more tha a. ye'ar ago after living and teaching in Chicago for a number of years.
