r3 News About Books From the Library Mrs. Jane R. Baker, Jack son county librarian, said that businessmen of Jackson county do not always remem- ber that the county library is a good source of information on all phases of business op eration and management, as well as a storehouse for use ful reference facts, statistics, and business addresses. New books on business ad ministration and office pro cedures are continually being added to the library's collec tion. - The latest addition in field is a series of books pub lished by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. They are small but informative little works, each full of details for the es tablishment and operation of a specific type of retail bus iness. This series should be of interest not oniy to would-be businessmen, but also to those who would like to have a sec ond source of income to sup plement their present liveli hood. Russell Carr, principal of the Sams Valley school, re ported that the annual maga zine drive is now under way, and will continue for two weeks. Profits derived will go to the student body fund. Pu pils participating will have the opportunity to' earn awards.
