' Sodality sent Tom Hersant, Tony Marshall, Kathy and Gerry Elbert, Dolores Coop er, Dorothy Rausch, and Mary Pat Naumes to San Francisco to the Summer School of Catholic Action. They will share their inspiration trying to help , the other clubs and organizations to attain higher sQuSlards. ., John Snider, who repre sented St. Mary's at the Stu dent Council Workshop in Eu gene, will suggest ways of im proving interschool and pub lic relations. : Members of St. Mary's Hgh school voted for minor class officers last week. Class presidents were ejected in the spring so that Student Coun cil could be fully organized at the beginning of the new year. Sophomores chose Susan Reavis, president; Doug Sni der, vice president; Virginia Rausch, secretary; and Jean Boat, treasurer. President Anne Manno, Vice President Dave Rouhier, Sec retary Mary Pat Naumes, and Treasurer Fred Lucas. The B division selected President Fredrich Burich, Vice Presi dent Florian Shasky, Secre tary Anne Bennett, and Treas urer Mike Lewis. Seniors are led by Tom Tom jack, president; Vice Pres ident Ron Daley; Secretary Kathy Elbert, and "Treasurer Don Davy. The two freshman groups will delay the ejection of of ficers fjr some weeks yet. Cfetb membership has be come established and officers have been chosen for the year. Sodalig? has Tom Hersant for prefect, aided by Dolores Cooper, vice prefect; and sec retary - treasurer, Gearldine Elbeft. Athletes are headed by President Roger Hout, Vice President Al Yates, Secretary Treasurer Florian Shasky, and Chaplain Tom Tom jack. Pep club elected Ann Darland president, Anne Bennett, vice president, and Patty .Calhoun", secretary-treasurer. Heading the Durocher Chapter of National Honor Society is Tom Depner. He is supported by Vice President Florian Shasky and Secretary Treasurer Dorothy Rausch. Sophomore class President Susan Reavis has announced plans for the annual treshman welcoming party and dance to be presented in the gym Oct. 9 at 2 p.m. The event will include a number of group stunts and skits presented by the fresn men for the entertainment of the entire student body. Mas ter of ceremonies, Doug Sni der, will introduce the Frosh and direct events. . . , Arrangements have been made for a sock-hop following the other entertainment. Re freshments will be served. Mass of the Holy Ghost was offered Friday, Oct. 2, by the vrv Reverend Carl Mai and the student body to ask God's blessing to help both teacners and students throughout the year. , ThP Marian Choir led the students in the singing of the Mass. Dressed in the style of for mer decades, Ann Darland, Patty Calhoun, Carol Valen tine, and Andrea Lewendow ski attempted to recreate the days of long ago. Today's modes were shown, by Mary Jo Batzer, Anne Haviland, Lynne Parsons, Dolores Coop er, and Daryl ZapelL A penalty y- singing the School Song before the stu dent; body-was inflicted on those not, wearing the tradi tional blue and white. After Coach McKibbin in troduced the team, Father Ilg encouraged attendance at the home game Saturday night.
