The Braves acquired the
veteran outfielder in a $20,000
waiver deal yesterday. A Mil
waukee spokesman said the
left-handed hitting Slaughter
would be used chiefly as a
pinch hitter.
However, Milwaukee man

Friday night he plans to play
Slaughter regularly against
right-handed pitchers, adding
