Among points of interest visited by the Paulsens and their guests were Crater lake, the Jacksonville Museum, in Jacksonville and the Crater Rock .Museum, near, Central Point. x . -' The Bentons went to Salem and planned to visit the Ore gon Centennial Exposition in Portland. ; . t Mr. and Mrs. Allan Coiner from Oakdale, Calif., were guests of her brother and sister-in-law, Mr.' and Mrs. Roy Eskew, and family last week end. The Coiners were . en route to Portland to attend the Centennial Exposition.. . , . Sunday, July 12,ithe Es kews took their guests on. a sightseeing trip in southern Oregon. V Mr. and Mrs. Joe Morgan, and son, Joe Morgan, Jr., re turned to Gold Hill from Portland July 8. Mrs. Morgan is . convalescing at her home here after major surgery sev eral weeks ago. She had gone to Portland for a medical checkup. Mr. and Mrs. . Melford, M. Hood went to Roseburg July 11 to visit Mr., and Mrs. Merl Mulholland. . She died July 7 in the University of California- hos pital, San Francisco. Funeral services were held in Oak land, Calif.1 The Duerigs had -been frequent visitors at" the Lance home. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Abbott and son, Tommy; were hosts to a barbecue dinner at their home recently.
