The double ring ceremony was held at First Christian church at eight o'clock in the evening with the Rev. William Piper offi ciating. The bride is the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James F. Campbell, 714 West Eleventh street, and she was their third daughter to 'be married in this church. The former Alison Campbell, now Mrs. Robert Arndt, and Har riet Campbell, now Mrs. Lon nie Kellenberger, were also married at First Christian church. . ' The bridegroom's parents are Mr. and Mrs'.. D. G. Miller, Applegate, Ore. The bride wore a ballerina length bouffant gown of white nylon lace over net and satin with satin cummerbund. It was worn with, an over-jacket designed with scoop neckline and bracelet length sleeves. For the traditional "some thing old" she wore earrings which had belonged to her great - grandmother, and her veil was borrowed from her attendant, Mrs. Dennis Per kins. The bride carried yellow and white rose buds on a white bible. Mrs. Perkons wore a frock of yellow and white nylon O Flats... O Casuals... O Colors... O National known lines North Central 7 chiffon fashioned with full skirt and yellow cummer bund. She carried a nosegay of yellow daisies. Mr. Campbell . gave his daughter in marriage. Dennis Perkins was best man for the bridegroom, and the ushers were Robert Arndt, brother- in-law of the bride, and Don ald Wynn, cousin of the bride groom. Miss Oveta Walden played the weddnig music, and Mrs. Walter Larsen sang.--.- Sixty-five guests , attended the wedding and reception; The church 'decorations were - of yellow and white Ester Reed daisies,- and satin ribbons marked the pew ends. Flowers, in, the sanctuary of the church and the reception room, were arranged by Mrs. Oliver Obenchain, Mrs. B. Adams and Mrs. Robert Arndt. For the reception room the flowers were yellow and white daisies and mock orange blossoms. Mrs. Donald Wynn poured punch and Mrs. Robert Arndt, the' bride's sister, cut and served the wedding cake. Miss Jane Hedgpeth, cousin of the bride from Weed, Calif., took charge of the guest book. Miss Georgene Hicks presided ; at the gift table. ! Mr. Miller and . his bride spent their honeymoon on the Oregon ; coast. For traveling the bride wore a . black and white checked suit with white accessories. The newlyweds are living at 609 West Eighth street. The bride was graduated from Medford schools and attended Southern Oregon college. She is a ' bookkeeper for Sacred Heart hospital. Mr. Miller also attended Medford schools and Southern Oregon college and is an office employee of Ore gon Veneer company. - Mr: and Mrs.- Mark Goldy were hosts for a patio party following the wedding re hearsal : Thursday night, en tertaining at their home, 35 South Berkeley way. Guefsts were members of the wedding party and family members. Margaret Ruth Taylor - (Brainerd Photo) Engagement Told ; Of Miss Taylor To George Rambo Central Point-Mr. and Mrs. Charles S. Taylor, route 1, an nounce the engagement of their daughter, Margaret Ruth, to George Wesley Ram bo, son of Mrs. and Mrs. Mel bourne G. Rambo, Mill City, Ore. Miss Taylor, a recent grad uate of Crater high school, plans to attend Lewis ' and Clark college this fall. Her fiance is employed at radio station KWfN, Ashland. No wedding date has been set.. - -. - Talent Club Wins Year Book Award : Talent-Talent Garden club members learned at their July meeting that the club's year book received a third place ribbon at the recent meeting of the Oregon Federation of Garden clubs in Portland. During the meeting, held at the " home of Mrs. Harold Strauss, members heard a re port on the state convention by two delegates, Mrs. Philip( Hoyland and Mrs. C. O. Long, alternate delegate Mrs. Leon Lockwood, and the retiring state secretary, Mrs. E. G. Taylor. Co-hostesses at the meeting were Mrs. Taylor and Mrs. L. M. Bates. A picnic meal was served. Members were reminded to bake cakes for the 4-H Fair on July 11. Cakes should be brought to the home of Mrs. John Baldwin by the evening of July 10. ' - The next meeting will be a barbecue at the home of Mrs. C. O. Long, with Mrs. D. B. Long as co-hostess, at 6:30 pjn., August 1. Slides will be shown and husbands and fami lies are especially invited. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd M. Milee are shown during a reception given June 28 in their honor by Mr. Miles' par ents, Mr. and Mrs. L. Mile; 605 Highland drive, were hosts at a reception June 28 honoring their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd M. Miles. The couple was married June 6 in a morning cere mony at Park Wedding chap el, Reno, Nev. Large bou quets of roses decorated the altar. The bride is the former Patricia May Hackney, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wil- Rogue-Elk Hotel Scene of Rites Trail-A ceremony held 8 o'clock; in the evening June . 23 wedded , Miss Mary Eleanor Jones to Frank Day ton Ross. The double ring rites took place at the Rogue Elk hotel in Trail. ' The Rev. Ernest, Evers of Trail Community church per formed the wedding rites, which were attended by about 25 persons. The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.' A. A. Ebright, Tuc son, Ariz., wore a nylon dress of white flowers on a red background, and carried white roses. ; : The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Rose of Elk Creek road, Trail. Miss Sharon L.' Martin, Rogue River, was maid of honor and wore a pink and white frock. Best man was William Fay Pentecost of Rogue River. Following the ceremony, wedding refreshments were served by Mrs. Shirley Korte and Mrs. Joyce LeMarc. The couple are now at their home on the Brill ranch at Trail. - 4 Family Arrives For Visit Here; Son Ordained The Rev. and Mrs. Charles Anderson and family arrived in Medford last week accom panied by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Anderson, 218 Winema Way. The elder Andersons had spent two months in the mid west and Mrs. Anderson trav eled to New York for her son's graduation from Union Theological seminary May 26 at Riverside church. He was ordained a deacon of the Methodist church at the Illinois conference at MacMurray college, Jackson ville, Fla., June 12. The young man received his grammar school education in Illinois,, attended high school in Klamath Falls, and was graduated from Willa mette university in 1956. He plans to enter Columbia uni versity this fall to study for his doctorate in philosophy. ; A reception in his honor was given Sunday, May 14, at the Ashland, 111., Method ftt church; where he received his early religious education. The Rev. Mr. and Mrs. An derson have two : children, John, 8, and Diane, 5V. Katherine Long Engaged To Wed Talent Minister Talent Mrs. Ruth Granby, Talent, announces the engage ment of her daughter, Kath erine Marie Long, to the Rev. Earnest R. Bell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Roscoe Bell, An chorage, Alaska. Miss Long is the daughter of Arthur Long, Stockton, Calif. Miss Long is a graduate of Talent High school and of Southern Oregon college. The Rev. Mr..Bell is a grad uate of Oregon State college and of Boston ; University School of Theology. He is presently the minister of the First Methodist church at Talent and is director of Wes ley Foundation on the SOC campus.. No date has ' been set for the wedding. The conven tion, to be held July 22 and 23, will host approximately 509 delegates from 37 dis tricts in the United States and Canada. The women of St. Peter's Lutheran church, 1024 East Main street, as well as nearly 200,000 other women in the U.S. and Canada, belong to the league. Mrs. Gueztlaff has been chairman of the St. Andrews zone for two years and has been reelected for another two-year term. She served as Christian growth chairman in her zone since it was intro duced into the league. r She is president of the Holy Cross guild, one of the St. Peter's Lutheran guilds, and she has been elected to the nominating committee for the Good Shepherd Home auxiliary. She plans to return from Canada on August 15. . . Californians Here For Celebrations; Open House Held Mr. and Mrs. William C Strang and their youngest son, Gregory, have returned to their home in Pomona, Calif., after a visit in Medford with Mr. Strang's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Strang, Pennsyl vania avenue. The Strangs came north at this time to attend the reun ion of the 1939 class of Med ford High school, and to at tend a party which celebrated the Fred Strang's 40th wed ding anniversary. Mrs. William Strang, the former Curtis Bachelder, was a member of the 1939 class. The party in celebration of the anniversary was given Sunday, June 28, by the Strang's daughter and son-in- law. Mr. and Mrs. Lee E. Brown, Grants Pass. A . family dinner, attended by 25, was followed at 4 o'clock by a small open house to honor Mrs. Brown's parents and brother. Mrs. Brown and her hus band had also attended the class reunion, since Mrs Brown had been a member of the 1939 class. Friday, June 26, a party held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Holzgang on Park street celebrated Greg ory Strang's birthday anniver sary. Mrs. Holzgang and Mrs. William Strang are sisters. The Strang's older son, Bill, and daughter, Bonnie Kay, are both attending summer school in Pomona. The son won plau dits last year for his record with his high school basket ball team.
