They forget the warning
of doctors that this slavery
to laxatives can do serious
damage to the digestive
system.
It is welcome news to these
"addicts" that there is a safe,
natural way to break the
chain laxative habit. Yes, it
can usually be corrected the

Kellogg's All-Bran is whole .

PEBBLE TOSS
Nat Bradford
Here's a fine outdoor game that any number can play!
The boundary lines should be 20 or 25 feet apart. Mark
a 0 about every five feet of your playing space. Each
boy or girl takes a pebble and stands behind the line.
The pebble is tossed to the first 0 and the player who
gets nearest wins a point. Then they all aim for the
second 0, and then the third and fourth and fifth.

Ann Davidow
A
The old stone Sphinx sits
still amid
The shadows of a pyramid.
A
For centuries she's sat there
mum
And will for centuries to
come.

With all her secrets left
unsaid.
The Sphinx, a lion with
human head,
Guards the Valley of the
Nile,
Smiling her mysterious
smile.
WHAT AN I MAL I S IT? Ruth do
What cunning babies this animal has! Four to ten of them
are born in a grass nest built by their mother. This nest is
usually in a hollow tree or else in a hole in the ground.
These tiny babies with arched backs, long pointed noses,
fluffy fur, and bushy tails grow fast. In two months you'll
find them waddling out at night and digging up grubs and
beetles with their big paws. Later on they eat wasps stingers
and all and catch mice and grasshoppers.
Just after sunset they wake from their all-day nap and in
single file go hunting for their supper. Sometimes they are
captured and become good pets. Sometimes trappers catch
them and sell their fur. Often, unless they kill chickens, the
farmers like them. They eat insects that hurt the crops.
There's' one thing about them that makes most people and
animals avoid them. It is a secret weapon they only use when
frightened. -Wheel It keeps off their enemies, too.
Guess the animal's name and color the picture correctly!
