Stevens, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred N. Stevens, Butte Falls star route, box 212, became the bride of By ron H; Davis in a double-ring ceremony held Saturday, June 6, at the Stevens home. Bishop' Dwaine E. Nelson of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Medford, officiated at the six o'clock evening ceremony, attended by 40 relatives and friends. Mr. Davis is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Davis, 524 Park place, Medford. Baskets of white mock orange and red roses were at each side of the fireplace and greenery, roses and white ta pers on the mantle formed the setting for the wedding. Vases of pink and white peo nies and sweet peas decorated the rooms for the ceremony. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown of white brocaded satin styled on princess lines with balle rina length skirt. Her shoulder-length illusion veil fell from a crown of orange blos soms and she carried a bou quet of white carnations. Mrs. Stevens and Mrs. William Un derwood, aunt of the bride, made the wedding gown and Mrs. Underwood designed and made the bride's veil. . Davis ter of the bride, was maid of honor. She wore a frock of aquamarine taffeta with fitted bodice and full skirt and car ried white carnations. Keith Bross, Medford, a former classmate of the bride groom, was best man. A reception followed the1 ceremony. Mrs. Carl R. Black, aunt of the bridegroom cut the cake which she had baked and decorated. Mrs. Underwood presided at the punch bowl and Miss Lar raine Davis, sister of the bridegroom, Medford, was in charge of the guest book. Miss Pamela Stevens, sister of the bride, was at the gift table, assisted by Miss Davis. For her daughter's wedding and reception, Mrs. Stevens wore an -ice green summer cotton suit with white acces sories. Mrs. Davis chose a navy blue suit and white ac cessories. Their corsages were white carnations. Among the guests were the bride's grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Stevens, Medford. Her corsage was white carna tions. The newlyweds traveled to San Francisco, Calif., . for their wedding trip, the bride wearing a beige suit, white accessories and white carna tion corsage from her bridal bouquet. Both young people are members of long time Jackson county families and will make their home in Medford. The bride was graduated from Eagle Point High school June 3. Mr. Davis is a gradu ate of Medford High school and is employed at Weisfields, Medford. Prior to her marriage, 'the bride was honored at two showers. One was given May 27 in the home of her aunt, Mrs. Underwood, Delta Wa ters road, Medford. Mrs. Ray Davis was co-hostess. The eve ning of May 28, she was hon ored at a shower given in the home of Mrs. Enrol Tresham, E a gl e Point. Co-hostesses were Miss Barbara Bever, Miss Judy Bradshaw and Miss Beverly Tresham. -. Barracks, Auxiliary . ' Plan Social Evening A social evening is planned by Veterans of World War I, Barracks 540, and auxiliary for Wednesday, June 17, at the Girls Community club, 229 North Bartlett st. Dr. Frank Roberts will show pictures of several. European countries at 7:30 pjn. Re freshments will be served. T. Lane, route 3, box 194G, became the bride of Thomas Richard Caldwell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Caldwell, Up per Sandusky, Ohio, in a cere mony held June 6 at Medford Friends church. Pastor Clynton Crisman of ficiated at the double ring rites, held at one o'clock in the afternoon. Mrs. Crisman played the organ wedding mu sic, Baskets of peach and white colored gladiolus dec orated the churcH. for the event. - The bride wore a white lace sheath frock with a satin bow at the waistline. Her veil was held by a lace crown and she carried a bouquet, of yellow and white carnations. Miss Janice Grove was maid of honor. She wore a yellow lace sheath dress and carried yellow and white car nations. Other attendants were Mrs. Ernest Klenner and Miss Wava Glasscock. They wore lavender floral printed sheath frocks and carried pink and white carnations. Pamela Ann Lane was flower girl for her aunt. She wore a mint green and white nylon dress and carried pink and white carnations in a white basket. . Joseph Hasler served as best man and seating the guests were Jack Dudley, Fresno, uncle , of the bride, and Lee Lyons. For her daughter's wedding Mrs.. Lane wore a brown silk sheath dress. Mrs. Caldwell, who traveled from Ohio for the wedding, chose a green floral print silk .dress with white accessories. Their cor sages were of pink rosebuds. Following the wedding a reception, was held in the pa tio at the Lane home. Assist ing at the reception were Mrs. John Miller, aunt of the bride, and Miss Rita Miller. The couple, traveled to Roseburg on their wedding trip, the bride wearing a blue flowered dress with white ac cessories. They are making their home at 2412 Spring street. The bride is a graduate of Phoenix High school. Mr. Caldwell was graduated from Upper Sandusky, Ohio, High school and is employed by Davis Transfer and Storage company. Amon the. out-of-town guests were Mr. and, Mrs. J. K. Dudley, uncle and aunt of the bride, and Miss Helen Williams, all Fresno, Calif. Friendship Night Planned by Rebekahs Friendship night will be ob served by Olive Rebekah lodge Monday, June 15, at 8 pjn. in the IOOF hall, 221 West Sixth street. Johnson, 120 Washington street, became the bride of James Allen Cooksey, son of Mr. and Mrs. Emmett Cook sey, Phoenix, Ariz., in a ceremony held June 6 at Zion Lutheran church. The Rev. H. C. Coovert of ficiated at the double ring rites attended by 125 relatives and friends. Miss Ruth Coo vert played the music for the 6:30 o'clock evening wedding and accompanied Miss Emily Masterson, Portland and Med ford, soloist. White stock and pink carnations decorated the church for the ceremony., Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a floor length white Chantilly lace gown accented with pearls and sequin crown. She carried a white orchid and stephanotis on a white Bible. Miss Donna Malloms, Eure ka, Calif., formerly of Med ford, was maid of honor and bridesmaids were Miss Donna Johnson, sister of the bride, and the Misses Carol and Lor etta Cooksey, Phoenix, Ariz., sisters of the bridegroom. They wore pink brocade satin sheath frocks with chiffon overskirts and cummerbunds with matching headdresses. They carried pink carnation cascade bouquets. Frank Lagesen, Klamath Falls, formerly of - Medford, served as best man. Jack Findley, Gary Shaffer and Jim Doyle, cousin of the bridegroom, seated the guests. For her daughter's wedding Mrs. Johnson wore a grey Chantilly lace over pink taf feta" frock with pink' acces sories. Mrs. Cooksey wore a beige sheath dress with pink accessories. Their corsages were pink rosebuds. Following the wedding a re ception was held in the church. Miss Bernice Skoog and Miss Pat Leek cut and served the wedding cake, baked and decorated by Mrs. Ray O. Alder, and Miss Shar on Johnson presided at the punch bowl. Mrs. Boyd Jo- sephson, sister of the bride, poured the coffee. Miss Bev erly Johnson was in charge of the guest book. Members of the Ladies Guild of the church were in charge of the recep tion. Assisting were Mrs. Ron ald Collins, Mrs. William My ers, and Mrs. Wendell Matt- son. Ceremonial Announced - Idella Rogue santha, No mads of Avrudakka, will hold a ceremonial Saturday, June 20, in the Pythian building here beginning at .1 pjn. The event will be held in conjunc tion with the Dramatic Order, Knights of Khoraisan, Knights of Pythias. . Initiation and the "lesson of loyalty" will be staged, with guest officers conducting the rites. A banquet is planned at 6:30 p.m. and following this entertainment is planned for women visitors and banquet guests. j Talisman temple, Pythian Sisters, will meet Tuesday, June 166, at 8 p.m. at the Pythian building. Election of a grand temple represenative and district convention re ports are on the agenda. Past Chiefs club will meet at the home of Miss Florence Bain, 848 West McAndrews road, Wednesday, June 17, at 1 pjn. A covered dish lunch eon is planned. At the last meeting of the Pythian club Mrs. Layton Schell, most excellent chief of the temple, was honored with a handkerchief shower. She is moving to Concord, Calif. The bride is a graduate of Medford High school and was employed as a bookkeeper for the First National Bank of Oregon, Medford branch. She is a past queen of Bethel 14, International Order of Job's Daughters.
