mento, Calif. The ceremony
was held at First Presbyterian
church.

afternoon rites attended by
200 relatives and friends. Ed

groom, was soloist.

The bride wore a white
Chantilly lace gown with
chapel train and her veil was
held by a lace and seed pearl
cap. She carried a bouquet of
white rose's ando'ivy. - Mr.
Smith gave his daughter in
marriage.
Miss Linda Smith was hon
or attendant for her sister.
Other attendants were Miss
Mardi Meyers of Medford and
San Francisco; Miss Sandra
Hubbard, and Mrs. Joe Fran
cis, Corvaljis. They wore
white eyelet embroidery

peonies and ivy decorated the
church for the double ring
ceremony. The bride's sister,
Linda, arranged the flowers.
Mrs. Smith wore a beige
silk dress for her daughter's
wedding with orchid colored
hat. Mrs. Foster chose an avo
cado green dress with gold
accessories. Their corsages
were orchids.

reception which followed at
the Girls Community club.
The newlywed couple trav
eled up the coast to Corvallis
where they attended Oregon
state college graduation and
after July will make their
home in Anaheim, Calif.,
where Mr. Foster will be as
sociated with his uncle in the
printing business. For travel
ing the bride chose a beige
jacket dress with green and
beige accessories.
The bride is a graduate of
Oregon State college wnere
she was a member of Pi Beta
Phi social sorority and is em
ployee, by isurelson s. Mr.
Foster was graduated from
Oregon State collegethis vear
and was president of Sigma
Nu fraternity.
Prior to the" wedding a re
hearsal supper was held at the
bride's home given by the

Saturday, June 6. .
A "this is your life" theme
was" used along with the bridal
motif as decorations for the
occasion. Pictures of the hon
oree taken during the various
ages of her lifetime and a
bridal doll with arrangements
of iris, which formed an aisle,
made the background for the
gift table. Miss Stevens was
assisted at the. gift table by
Miss Lauraine Davis. The
guestXof honor was surprised
when a prologue of her life
was given during the evening.
At the refreshment table
pink tapers in holders trim
med with nosegays. of clover
blossoms flanked the cake.

Washington PTA -Honors
Faculty
The executive board of
Washington Parent-Teachers
association gave a luncheon
for the school, faculty in the
school cafeteria June 4.
Robert Sage, principal, pre
sented Mrs. . Kenneth Blair,
unit president, with an orchid
corsage from the faculty in
appreciation for her work and
cooperation during the past
year.
Mrs. Blair announced that
Mrs. Fred Walker, Mrs. Rob
ert Butler and Mr. Sage are
leaving the faculty of the
school this year. Mrs. Walker
will teach , at Lincoln, Mrs.
Butler at Oak Grove, and Mr.
Sage will be principal at
Roosevelt school.
Mr. Sage presented the new
Washington school principal,
Ronald Weatherford, to the
group. Mr. Weatherford is
presently the principal from
the West Side school.
Approximately 50 members
of the faculty and executive
board attended the event.
Officer Returns
After USAF Duty
Robert A. Gray, who has
been serving in the Strategic
Air Command of the United
States Air Force as a fir3t
lieutenant, has concluded his
tour of duty and is now' at
home with his parents, Mr.
and Mrs. R. W. Gray, Cherry
lane. He was released, from
the USAF in mid-May and
spent some time in Europe
before returning to Medford.
He served four years as a
co-pilot of a B47. In recent
months young Gray has been
assigned to duty at the Platts
burg Air Force base near
Lake Champlain, in New
York state. During the latter
months of his service, Lt.
Gray was in England from
time to time.

13, for the club's newly en
larged and redecorated din
ing room. This will be the
first event for club members
since the work was completed

are chairmen, and they state
that informal summer attire
will be in order for the party.
A social hour is set for 8
o'clock' and a buffet dinner
will be served from 10 o'clock
until midnight.

rangement of Dainty Bess
roses complementing the pink
roses of the anniversary cake
baked by Mrs. Oscar Swan
son. Mrs. Wilson provided the
flower arrangements.
Mrs. Dusenberry cut and
served the cake. Mrs. Steven
Wilson poured coffee and
Mrs. Sanford Richardson pre
sided at the punch bowl. ,
A silver "money tree" made
by Mrs. Ernest Leavitt pro
duced twenty silver dollars as
a gift to the couple.
Mr. and Mrs. Tonn both
were born and raised in Jack
son county. Mrs. Tonn has
taught school for several
years, mostly in Central Point
where she is now' on the staff
at Jewett school.

Major to Leave
For New Jersey
Major Douglas Eden of the
United States Air Force will
leave June 9 for New Jersey
after spending the past few
weeks in Medford with his
parents, Mr. and Mrs. O. A.
Eden, 211 Genessee street.
Major Eden has been assigned
as head of recruiting for the
entire state of New Jersey
and three counties in New
York state.
Mrs. Eden and the couple's
three children, Elizabeth,
James and Margaret, will re
main in Medford for the sum
mer and join the major in the
fall.
Major Eden has been as
signed to duty in Japan the
past four years.

Dunlevy Family
To Leave Monday
On Vacation Trip
Mr. and Mrs. James Dun
levy and children, 408 Ard
more avenue, will leave Mon
day for Portland. From there
Mrs. Dunlevy and the daugh
ters, Judy and Betsy, will
take the train for Akron,
Ohio, to spend the summer
with relatives.
Mr. Dunlevy and their son,
Pat, will spend a week on the
Oregon coast fishing before
returning to Medford.

ing his freshman year at

land. The young man made
his home during the year with

Laguna Beach, sang with the .
choir of First Methodist
church, Medford, during the
school year. He plans to re
turn to the valley and SOC in
