Police said the thief broke a kitchen window to get in and apparently cut himself. Visiting Mrs. Wayne N. Robinson, Salem, the former Miss Patricia Barry of Med ford, and her four children are visiting Mr. and Mrs. Frank Applegate, 615 South Oakdale ave., Medford. Passenger Hurt, - Robert Lee Thomsa, 20, of 843 Dia mond st., suffered facial cuts and a slight concussion early Friday morning when the car in which he was riding, ope rated by Lloyd Dean Rickard, 816 South Riverside ave., struck a large city-owned elm tree in front of 989 South Oakdale ave., Medford police reported. Thomas was taken to Sacred 'Heart hospital by Medford Ambulance Service. Police said no citations were issued. OBITUARIES PAUL M. SPARKS Paul M. Mr. Bellows was born Feb. 27, 1885, in Sheboygan, Mich, Mrs. Bellows was born Oct 2, 1890, in Camas Valley, Ore. Mr. Bellows came to southern Oregon as a small boy, and they were married in October, 1911, in Rose- burg. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. M. L. Steele, Lebanon, Mo.; Mrs. J. P. Mor gan, Eagle Point, Ore.; and Mrs. William Turman, North Bend, Ore.; eight grandchil dren and three great grand children. In addition, Mr. Bel lows is survived by twa broth ers, C. Eugene Bellows, and Herbert Bellows, both of Medford; and Mrs. Bellows is survived by three brothers, Norman Coon, Portland; J. D. Coon, Glide, Ore.; and Lloyd Coon, Camas Valley, Ore.; and three sisters, Mrs. Robert Sawyer and Mrs. Robert Mead, Roseburg, Ore.; and Mrs. Frank Church, Port Or f ord, Ore. Mr. Beelby was born in Thornton, Ontario, Canada, Sept.' 16, 1874, and had been a resident of this area for 34 years. He was a carpenter and painter.' Survivors include his wife, Ida L. Beelby; twin daugh ters, Mrs. Muriel Friend and Mrs. Miner T. Boshears; three grandsons, Kenneth D., Larry L. and " Dennis , A. Boshears; and two great grandsons, Jof fery and Mark Boshears, all of Medford,. JESSE BROWNLEE Funeral services for Jesse Erastes Brownlee, 69, of route 2, box 209, Medford,, who died Thursday, will be held at Perl(Funeral home Monday at 11 ajn. The Rev. James W. Mr. Brownlee was born in Encampment, Wyo., July 20, 1889, and had been a resident of this community for the past 51 years. He operated a grocery store and fountain. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Brownlee, of Med ford; three sons, Floyd H. Brownlee, Medford; Jesse J. Brownlee, Los Angeles, Calif.; and Frank A. Brownlee. Sun Fair, Calif. Mr. Miller was born in Fon- tain county, Ind., July 3, 1853, and had been a resident of this area for many years. He was an orchardist in the val ley for several years. Survivors include one niece, Mrs. Mable N. Hogan, Hugo ton, Kan., and one nephew, Chester Miller of Summit, N.J. JULIA PIPES Funeral services for Mrs. Julia Ann Pipes, 85, of 215 First st., Phoenix, who died at her residence Thursday, will be held at Perl Funeral home Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. Everett Blair will officiate. Interment will be in the Cen tral Point cemetery. She is survived by her hus band, Charles T. Pipes, Phoe nix; one sister, Mrs. Joda Huff, Blakesburg, Iowa; one brother, John DeMar, Ed wardsville, 111.; and several nieces and nephews. One son, Lowell Pipes, preceded her in death. Three of the accidents, caus ing all but one of the injuries, reportedly occurred in the same quarter hour. Three persons were hunt when ah' automobile and truck collided on North Pa cific highway about 2:45 p.m., according to one report.- i The automobile's drive, Vic tor Isaac Eakin Jr.,-24, of 917 West 11th st" was cited for an improper left turn into the wrong lane after he "drove his car from Sage rd. onto the highway, police reported. The northbound truck, ope rated by Wenting Charles Hilkey, 36, of, route 2, box 560, Central Point, reported ly pulled to the right to avoid Eakin's car, slammed into a culvert in front of Industrial Air Products company and jack-knifed. Eakin's car flip ped into the ditch beside the road and landed upside down in water." ' Eakin sufered a wrenched neck, cuts, and abrasions and contusions of the head, ac cording ' to the report. His mother, Margaret Marie Eak in, Ij9, suffered a broken left knee and ankle and multiple abrasions. Both were taken by c, Medford Ambulance to Sacred Heart hospital, -where they were reported in good condition last night. Their car was reported a total wreck. . Hilkey was taken by police to Medford Osteopathic hos pital, where his injuries were described as "minimal." Injuries to Two. About five- minutes before this accident, according to an other report, a collision at Kennet and Boardman sts. re sulted in injuries to two per sons. - Patricia June Gundlach, 21, of 601 West McAndrews rd., suffered minor face cuts, po lice said, after the car she was driving struck one ope rated by Winiford Howard King, 1487 Ridge Way.
