covered, he will be notified.
He can find out also if there
is anything to rumors that a
cure has been found in Rus
sia, or elsewhere. So far, un
fortunately, all these rumors
have proved to be false.
Meniere's Disease
Dr. John J. Rainey writes
of the sometimes violent at
tacks of Meniere's syndrome
in which everything will start
spinning around a person, or
he will seem to be spinning
around, and with this there
will come nausea and perhaps
vomiting. In these cases, the
first thing a patient should do
is to see a good ear man who
will usually find something
wrong with at least one of the
ears. Often there comes some
failure of hearing. There is no
ideal treatment. Dr. B. T.
Hprton used to desensitize
these people to histamine by
giving them repeated small
injections of the' . substance.
Some physicians "take away
the patient's table salt, and
others give injections of nico
tinic acid. As Dr. Rainey says,
take comfort from the fact
that "No one ever dies of this
affliction. If you are patient,
time will heal you." 1 .
