May 5, 1959 School of Hope Elects Officers Officers for the coming year were chosen by the board serv ing the School of Hope at a regular meeting held recent ly. Elected were Richard Trav is, president; Gale Kimball, vice president; Mrs. W. S. Scalberg, secretary and Mrs. Kenneth Vinyard, treasurer. The school, the newest of Medford's opportunity schools for handicapped children, will close its first year May 24. Mrs. Carl Whitman, retiring president, will serve on the board. Board members include Dr. William Miller, Dr. Harry Danielson, Dr. Loren Messeng er, the Rev. Raymond Hum, Brian B. Mullen, W. L. College Farm Crop Club io Tour County Students in the -:rm Crops dub at Oregon State college, Corvallis, will tour the county Friday and Saturday, accord ing to County Agent Gene Winters. Among stops will be the Central Point farm of Otto Bohnert and irrigated pasture land owned by C. C. Hoover, White City. They will be guests of the Jackson County Agriculture committee at a dinner Friday evening in the Central Point grange. . Grange members will pro vide their breakfast Saturday morning before the group tours the Southern Oregon ,x periment station. The students will sleep In the grange hall Friday night.
