The wedding will take place this summer in Columbia, S.C. The future bride, educated In London, holds a teacher's certificate in home economics. At present she is employed as a receptionist for the Murray Dance school in Columbia. Mr. Verstegen is in the United States Air Force and is stationed at Shaw Air Force base near Columbia. 14 " v. Mr. Eskew. will be grad uated from the engineering school of Oregon State college in June, his major being pro duction technology, and the wedding is planned for later that month. Open House Set In Central Point Central Point The annual open house of Central Point Elementary and Junior High schools will be held Tuesday, April 28, from 6:30 until 7:50 p.m. when the various rooms will be open for inspection of children's work. Following the open house the junior high school band and chorus will give a con cert. Members of the Parent Teacher association will sell coffee, cake and pie in the cafeteria, it was reported. Avenue Wedding Rites Set for June Many June weddings are being planned, and among these will be the marriage of Miss Rosalie Johnson to James Allen Cooksey. The rites have been set for Sat urday, June 6, at Zion Luth eran church here, and a recep tion will follow the early eve ning ceremony. Miss Johnson is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. La Vern R. Johnson, 120 Washington street, Medfordi Mr. Cooksey, former Medford resident, is now living in Phoenix, Ariz. A former student at Southern Oregon college, he is enrolled now in Arizona State college, Tempe. Miss Nigl was graduated from Medford Senior High school last June, and attend ed Robertson School of Business. All Valley women and ministers are in vited to attend the event starting at 12 noon. Mrs. Everett Faber, presi dent of the council, will pre side during the luncheon hour and Dr. George Roseberry, pastor of the host church will give table devotions. Honored during the luncheon period will be women selected from the affiliated churches in rec ognition of their Sunday school service. Mrs. William Myers will receive names of candidates at SPring 2-7215. Mrs. Lyle Schoppert and her committee are in charge of luncheon arrangements. Mrs. Everett Lasher, chair man for the, day's program, has announced that the pro gram will begin at 1:30 p.m. in the church sanctuary. Miss Verna Cingcade, teacher of Bible history in schools of the county under sponsorship of the Jackson County Board of Christian Education, will tell of her work and progress be ing made in classes which she teaches. A panel will discuss the day's theme "How Much is enough and 632"? Modera tor will be the Rev. H. C. Coovert, Zion Lutheran church; Elliott Becken repre senting the public schools; Mrs. C. E. Chamberlain, Sun day school superintendent; Mrs. Thomas McCammant, the parent; Mrs. Robert Dames, Sunday school teach er; and Mrs. Robert Heide man, interested person. Hedrick Junior High stu dents will sing several selec tions, directed by Carroll Graber. Organist for the aft ernoon will be. Mrs. Gerald Sherman. Ministers assisting in the atfernoon will be the Rev. Raymond Hum, the Rev. John S. Power, and the Rev. Elvin Tollefson. Proceeds from the luncheon will be given to the Jackson County Board of Christian Education to assist its program. All interested are invited to attend. Miss Judith Libbey ' Summer Rites " Planned by Pair Ashland-The Rev. and Mrs. Lester S. Libbey, 247 Oak street, Ashland, announce the engagement of their daugh ter, Judith Lynel Libbey, to Neil Tennyson Dodge, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence S. Dodge, Boothbay Harbor, Maine. Miss Libbey will graduate in June from Ashland Senior High school. Mr. Dodge is a graduate of Boothbay Harbor High school, and Maine Vo cational Technical Institute, South Portland. He is an air man second class in the Unit ed States Air Force and is stationed at Nellis Air Force base in Nevada. A June wedding is planned. 4 Returns to City James W. Gibbs has arrived in Medford from Tucson, Ariz., where he has been liv ing for the past three years and will again reside here. Mrs. Gibbs and the couple's three children will arrive later. Mr. Gibbs is a son of Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Gibbs, 1375 South Columbus avenue, and his brother is Walter Gibbs of the same address. Couple Married Phoenix - The wedding of Miss Lois Marie Dysinger and Jerry Raymond Troxel was solemnized Thursday, April 23, at 4 o'clock in the after noon at Phoenix Nazarene church with the Rev. Marvin Lumley performing the cere mony. The bride is the daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Dy singer, 116 South Third street, Central Point, and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Don Troxel, Camp Baker road. The bride attended and graduated from Crater High school in 1958. Troxel attend ed Phoenix grade and high schools. The bride's attendant was her twin sister, Linda Dy singer. Best man was Delbert Moor e, Medford. ,. A reception was held in the church annex afterward with about 50 relatives and close friends attending.
