Vogues of Rogue Theme for Show Kiwanian Dames have se lected "Vogues of the Rogue" as the theme for the annual spring fashion show, luncheon and card party to be held Monday, May 4, at the Regue Valley Country club. Judy Wayland, Frank Dare Jr., Engaged to Wed Mrs. Ruth Wayland, former ly of Alta street, Medford, and now ' of Sacramento, Calif., announces the engage ment of her daughter, Judy Beth Wayland, to Frank S. Dare Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank S. Dare of Colfax, Calif. Miss Wayland is a graduate of Medford High school and is a freshman at Sacramento State college. Mr. Dare is a graduate of the Canoga Park High school, Los Angeles, and attended Sierra Junior college in Auburn. He is employed by the "California division of forestry. No wedding date has been set. Rebekahs to Elect Convention Delegates Olive Rebekah lodge will meet Monday, April 6, at 8 p.m. at the Odd Fellows hall, 221 West Sixth street. Dele gates to attend the state con vention at Roseburg will be elected. ' The refreshment committee will include Mrs. Mary Brown, Mrs. Eliza. Hamilton, Mrs.' Joe Cave, Mrs'. Lucille Cove, and Mrs. Eva Hoyett. "At the recent Centennial party prizes were awarded Mrs. Josephine Clark for the oldest costume; Mrs. James Haskins, prettiest costume; Mrs. William H. Dyer, cutest costume; and Mrs. Meda Lucas, authentic costume. Ceremony In Hawaii Weds Pair Ashland Of interest to val ley residents is news of the February wedding of Miss Beverly Ulstad, Honolulu, Ha waii, to Lt. (jg) Charles Pres ton McKinney, Pearl Harbor. The bride is a daughter of Mrs. Beulah Ulstad, 345 Lib erty street, Ashland, and the late Lester E. Ulstad. Her grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. P. A. Hodgen, Ashland. ' Lieutenant McKinney is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard McKinney, Tyler, Texas. The wedding was held Feb ruary 14 at 8 o'clock "in the evening at the First Methodist church in Honolulu. The Rev. Frank' Butterworth, officiated. The bride wore a waltz length gown of white chantilly lace over satin fashioned with scalloped neckline and hem line. Her fingertip length veil was held by a coronet of seed pearls and her bridal bouquet was heart-shaped and made of white catalaya orchids and phaelonopsis. Mrs. Ulstad gave her daughter in marriage. Mrs. D. L. Wadley, Sunny vale, Calif., was matron of honor for her sister. Brides maids were Miss Joy Perry and Miss Virginia Palmer, both Honolulu. They wore waltz-length gowns of red taf feta and carried heart-shaped nosegay bouquets of red and white carnations. Lt. (jg) Sidney W. Davis., Jr., Lt. (jg) Frederick C- Eck art, and Lt. (jg) Donald C. Dil ley Jr., all Pearl Harbor, seat ed the guests. . For the wedding and recep tion on the church lanai red anthuriums decorated the church and reception area. The couple flew to the island of Kauai for their honeymoon. They are making their home at 2132 Kapiolani boulevard, Honolulu. The bride is a graduate of Ashland High school and at tended Southern Oregon col lege where she was a member of Sigma Epsilon Pi, women's honorary fraternity. She is a graduate of the University of Oregon where she majored in business education. She is cur rently employed as secretary to the medical office in charge, Naval Medical unit, Tripler U. S.
