D. Mitchell, president of the firm at White City. He told United States for esters that his corporation has purchased Yreka Veneer's plant and has petitioned the court for dismissal of bank ruptcy proceedings filed earli er against the Happy Camp firm. Mitchell assured the forest service that he will "if neces sary" underwrite contract obligations still existing be tween Yreka veneer and the forest service on some 10 mil lion board feet of timber, ac cording to reports. The amount is the remainder of some 24 million board feet initially contracted for in Klamath national forest. Carolina-Pacific reportedly obtained . control of the firm by purchasing from creditors outstanding obligations of Yreka Veneer at a discounted rate.
