Henderson, 215 South B street, Eagle Point, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Barbara Lou, to Larry B. Dodenhoff, son of Mr. and Mrs. Burt L. Doden hoff, Eagle Point. The wedding is planned for January 16 at the Eagle Point Community Bible church at eight o'clock in the evening. Miss Henderson is a gradu ate of Eagle Point High school and is employed at Sacred Heart hospital. Mr. Dodenhoff is also a graduate of Eagle Point High school and is em ployed at Bud's East Side Texaco Service station. Coming Wedding Of Interest Here Of Interest in this area is news of the coming marriage of Miss Grace Philips John son and Dr. Roland K. Per kins. Dr. Perkins has been a fre quent visitor at the Gold Rey ranch home of his uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Robert J. Wells, and has many friends here. Miss Johnson was graduat ed from Smith college and re ceived her masters degree from Stanford university. Dr. Perkins is a graduate of the University of Washing ton and received his medical degree at Temple University School of Medicine, Philadel phia. He is the son of Mrs. Dorothy Perkins Mason of Anchorage, Alaska. Both young people reside In San Francisco. The marriage will take place December 27 at the win ter home of Miss Johnson's grandmother, Mrs. Grace Philips Johnson. Medford Student Wins Scholarship Corvalhs-Marshall Thomp son of Talent has been award ed a $138 partial-tuition schol arship for studies this year at Oregon State college. The scholarship is one of a group sponsored by the state system of higher education for outstanding students. Young Thompson is a fresh man in the school of engineer-i ing. A graduate of Talent High school, he is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank C. Thomp son of 301 West Main street. Ceremony Weds Pair Miss Marilyn Lee Walden, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Walden, 3075 Table Rock road, became the bride of Darrell Wayne Thomas, son of Mr. and Mrs. Niles Thomas, 588 North Main street, Ash land, in a ceremony held No vember 28. The Rev. Raymond W. Hum of First Church of the Naza rene officiated at the four o'clock afternoon wedding held at the home of the bride's parents. Rust and yellow chrysanthe mums decorated the house for the event. The bride, given in marri age by her father, wore a white and beige knit suit with white accessories. Her corsage was of white carnations. Miss Linda Thomas, sister of the bridegroom, attended the bride. She wore a pink and white frock with pink and white carnation corsage. Victor Lively, Ashland, served as best man. Following the ceremony a reception was held, with 35 relatives and guests attending. The couple will make their home in Corpus Christi, Texas, where Mr. Thomas is an airman with the United States Navy. The bride attended Crater High school and is the fourth generation of a pioneer family of Josephine county. Mr. Thomas attended Ashland High school. Shower Given For Bride-Elect Eagle Point Miss Margaret Cearley, whose marriage to Arthur Phillpott is planned for this week, was honored at a recent shower given at the Charley Cearley home. The wedding is set Friday, Decem ber 26, at 8 o'clock p.m. in Eagle Point Community Bible church. The hostesses were Miss Georgia Weidman and Mrs. George Allen, assisted by Mrs. R. T. Weidman.
