Hearings on the district would follow a green light from voters Wednesday authorizing the city to pledge its full faith and credit behind the bonds. It would eventually be established by city council ordinance. Properties within the district would be assessed on the basis of benefit, depending on their distance from the parking facility. Shown In this 'map, near the center, is the proposed "Keeney Plan" self parking platform straddling the Southern Pacific railroad tracks. Officials estimate that the assessment for a lot with 25-foot frontage near the facility, based on a 20-year retirement .period for the bonds, would run under, $40. The meeting was called to order by President Patty Mallot. Secretary Sandra Calkins read the minutes of the last meeting. After the meeting was ad journed, refreshments were served by . Donna Copeland. The next meeting will be Dec. 9 at 4 p jn. at Dolly Weber's. The meeting was called to order by the president, Glen na Brown. The minutes were read and approved. Our next meeting will be on Dec. 15 at the home of Mrs. Mary Myers in Table Rock. We will make plans for our next year of 4-H activi ties at the next meeting. The meeting was adjourned and refreshments were served by Carol and Aletta Myers. Anita Pierce, Reporter Antelope Sewing Club . The Antelope Sewing club meeting was held at JoAnna Mallory's home on Nov. 29. Parking, Slop Signs installed Central Point-New parking and stop signs have been in stalled in Central Point, Po lice Chief Wallace Bowen has reminded area residents- A five-minute parking sign has been installed in front of the post office building, and two-hour parking signs have been placed from Highway 99 four blocks east on Pine st., he said. ' Parking also is limited to two hours on side streets in the half block north and south of Pine st. Bowen said Central Point police would enforce the new parking restrictions, and cita tions would be issued. The meeting was called to or der by president Nyla Mur ray. The pledge was led by Vice President Charlotte Bush, and the roll call was taken. Under new business dem onstrations for the county fair were discussed. It was decid ed to start on the demonstra tion early enough so as to get in plenty of practice. The date was set for Dec. 16 for the annual Christmas party. . Los Angeles -0PD- - Singer B i n g Crosby's oldest son, Gary, 25, has been named de fendant in a $44,370 damage suit filed by a Long Beach, Calif., couple who claimed they were injured when Gary's sports car struck their automobile last Nov. 11. In a suit filed Friday, John A. Sul livan, 57, asked for $36,500 and his wife Ruth, 49, for $7, 700 for injuries they alleged ly suffered when their car was hit from behind. MOVIE BAN Montgomery, Ala. -flJPD- All movies running past midnight have been halted in an effort to end teen-age violence such as led to a fatal tavern shoot ing two weeks ago. S New Mazama Lodge To Rise From Ashes Portland-UPD-George Fran cisco, president of the Ma zamas, indicated yesterday that the Mazama lodge near Government Camp, which burned Thursday, will be re built. Francisco said there were no definite plans at the mo ment but it would definitely be rebuilt. Fire destroyed the 27-year-old structure Thursday and the loss was estimated . at about $35,000.
