Bradford and daughters, Christy and Julie, were recent visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. William Short on Springbrook rd. The Brad fords have been in Goose Bay, Labrador, for the past two years and are now stationed in Texas. Mrs. Bradford is a daughter of Mrs. Short. Capt. Bradford is with the Air Force. The Bradfords also visited Mrs. Ruby Mallory of Med ford, who is Captain Brad ford's grandmother. Ord, Calif., where he will take his eight weeks training course. Aviation Apprentice John Chisholm, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Chisholm, formerly of Lone Pine rd. and now living on Mistletoe st., is home on a 14-day leave. He is stationed at Fallon, Nev., training in the aviation branch of electronics. While here, he spent a cou ple of days in Corvallis visit ing his sister, Maralee, who is attending OSC. In moving into town the Chisholms sold their place to Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Goff, who have been in the valley about 10 months. The Goffs have three little girls, two pre schoolers and the oldest one in ; the first grade at Lone Pine. They adopted the Chisholm's beagle dog, who has also ad justed himself to the family, and has been renamed "Sam." Goff is a psychiatric worker at the Child Guidance clinic. The Alford Off ord family have sold their property on Springbrook rd. and moved to North Fir. Mr. and Mrs. Wil liam Esselstyn are the new owners. Esselstyn is a teacher at the new Wilson elementary school and Mrs. Esselstyn is employed in the office of the Cascade Lumber company. They have two boys attending Lone Pine school. Mitchell Aaron is the name chosen for the third boy born to Mr. and Mrs. Carl Harrison of Roberts rd. on Oct. 10. Paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Harrison. Ma ternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. E. R. Rogers of Cres cent City, Calif. Mrs. Rogers recently returned home after spending a week with the Harrisons. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Vin yard, Crater Lake ave., are parents of a boy, weighing 8 pounds, born Oct. 19. He has been named Gerald Lee. He has a brother and sister. Melanie Rene is the name given to the baby girl born to Mr. and Mrs. Earnest Wolff, co-owner of the Grandview Market. She was born Oct. 19 and weighed 7 pounds. Mrs. Charles Wilson, mother of Mrs. Wolff, is .staying at the Wolffs' for about a week. Major Assumes Job As Advisor Here Maj. Ray E. Stewart, whose last assignment was with Unit ed Nations . joint observer teams in Korea, has been as signed here as unit advisor to local infantry reserve units. He will advise Headquar ters and Headquarters com pany, 2nd Battalion, 413th Infantry Regiment in Med ford and Company E of the same battalion in Grants Pass. Major Stewart will be serv ing under Lt. Col. Frank M. Kehoe. He entered the Army in 1942 from the University of Oregon. His wife is Anne Brown Stewart and he has two sons, Ray E. Stewart III, and Bruce Leith Stewart. Major Stewart and his fam ily are residing at 1817 Siski you blvd. He expects to serve a three-year tour of duty here. MINE OPERATOR DIES New York - (UPD - Louis E.
