Grants Pass Meeting Southern Oregon public ac countants will be hosts to a meeting of the board of gov ernors of the Oregon Associa tion of Public Accountants in Grants Pas Saturday, accord ing to William White of med ford, district governor of the OAPA. Plans for the sixth annual Oregon Tax Conference, to be held this year in Portland, will be outlined. White said Public accountants from southern Oregon are invited to attend the luncheon. Presiding at the board meet ing, the first to be held at Grants Pass in several years, will be E. G. Sommer of Ash land, president of the OAPA. Portland Unloading Dock Work Starts Portland DFD Mayor Ter ry Shrunk has officially sig naller the start of construction on the $3,700,000 bulk cargo loading dock on the Portland waterfront. Marshall Dana, chairman of the Commission of Public Docks, accompanied the May or as construction started on the new Terminal No. 4 fa cility. He said it would pro vide holding space for 100 freight cars to receive ores and concentrates. The new pier will be 1140 feet long, big enough for two ships, or for one ship and two or three barges. The Pueblo Indians of New Mexico own their lands by virtue of titles granted by the Spanish crown in the 17th and 18th centuries and con firmed by the United States In the 19th.
