Program at Bedford Migh Set; Work To Continue A complete school program using improvised and existing facilities has been arranged at Medford High school until work on an addition and other renovation projects is com' Dieted, school officials have announced. High school students will start classes at 8:25 a.m. to morrow. In addition to the high school, students attending the new Hoover elementary school also will start classes tomorrow. Cafeterias at bbth schools will not operate for the first week, officials said, and requested students to bring sack lunches. Milk and Ice cream will be available at the schools. Classroom Wings Classroom wings at Hoover ' are virtually completed, school officials said, with the exception of a few accessory items. Work on other school facilities, such as the gym nasium, cafeteria and the ad ministrative suite, will con tinue with final completion anticipated in a few weeks. Parochial school students attending 'St. Mary's School can ride on buses transport ing high school students since buses will pass in the vicinity of St. Mary's school. Bus No. 1 will be in the West Side school area, leav ing West Side school at 7:30 a.m. and making a loop route north on Old Stage rd. to mill tary rd. and back on Military and Old Stage rd. to West Side school at 7:50. Students will be picked up coming into town on Ross lane and Maple Park dr. Bus No. 2 will make two trips to cover the Oak Grove school area. The first trip will begin at Orchard Home dr. at 7:25 a.m. and will cover Stew art ave., Hull rd., Bellinger rd.. Oak Grove rd., West Main between Oak Grove rd.. and Ross lane, and Ross lane south of McAndrews rd. The second trip will begin at Lozier lane and Stewart ave. at 7:50 a.m. and will cover Lozier lane, Jacksonville highway and Pioneer subdivision west of Oak Grove rd., and West Main between Ross lane and Louis st. Bus No. 3 will cover the east side area beginning at Walden place and Murphy rd. at 7:50 a.m., picking up at Black Oak and Sandy Ter race, and following Black Oak, Hillcrest and East. Bus No. 4 will operate in Scout Executive To Visit Medford toward Brawn, deputy re gional scout executive, of the Boy Scouts of America, will visit the Crater Lake Council this week, according to Jud son W. Compton, scout execu tive of the three-countyt coun cil. Brawn, who has been on the regional executive staff for several years, was assigned last summer to serve the scout councils in Oregon following the transfer of Delbert R. Hanks to Dayton, Ohio, as scout executive. - As a member of the field staff of the national Boy Scout council, Brawn will meet with 'officers of the Cra ter Lake Council and several operating committee chair men. He will also attend sev eral regular and special meet ings on council and district operation. The Crater Lake Council is a member-agency of the Unit ed Medford Crusade, Ashland Talent United Fund,' and Jo sephine County United Fund, and holds independent scout campaigns in Siskiyou county and in Jackson county outside of the united fund areas. 1 Less than 1 per cent of the council's operatirg budget goes to the national organiza tion as charter and quota fees. Regular service is given through the regional office of the Boy Scouts of America, and special service is given by members of the national coun cil staff. Brawn's schedule this week will cover the fields of camp ing, organization and exten sion, finance, commissioner service, office study and trust fund, according to Compton. the Old Dewey district area beginning at Coker Butte rd. and Cater Lake highway at 7:25 a.m. and covering Coker Butte rd., Foothill rd., Corey rd., McLoughhn dr., and Vilas rd. east. Bus No. 3 will pick up on Table Rock rd., Vilas rd. west of Crater Lake highway, and Crater Lake highway north of Vilas rd. to the district boundary starting from Table Rock rd. and Bear creek at 7:30 a.m. High school students on this bus will be transferred at Crater Lake Four Corners to Bus No. 4. Bus No. 6 will begin pick ing up at Biddle rd. and air port at 7:35 a.m. and will cov er Biddle rd., Hilton rd., Cor ona ave., Morrow rd., Mc Andrews, Grand ave. and Crater Lake ave. Afternoon Trips In the afternoon, Bus No. 5 will take students from the senior high school to the en tire Oak Grove area at 3:20 p.m., and bus No. 5 will cov bus the er the east side route as well as the Table Rock, Vilas rd. area covered in the morning pickup.
