Under the compromise, the men get a $5 increase Sept. 1 and another $4 Jan. 1. Women will get S7 Sept. 1 and J57 next April 1. Affected were about 150 meat cutters and women wrappers in Salem, Silverton, Dallas, Newberg, McMinn- ville, Corvallis, Albany, Leb anon and Sweet Home. LEGAL NOTICES Two Persons Injured . In Highway 99 Crash Thomas E. Fairless, 18, of Dorris, Calif., and Ronald Swartz, 53, of Reno, Nev., were taken by Medford Am bulance service to Sacred Heart hospital at noon Fri day following a collision in volving their two vehicles on Highway 99 four miles west of Gold Hill, state police re ported.
