Too Many Fires; Family Quifs Home Taliadega, Ala.-CP-Calvin Tuck, his wife and six chil dren have moved out of their log home. It caught fire 22 times In two days. "It's really a mystery," Fire Chief S. H. Joiner said Thursday. "If it's not a chem ical reaction or spontaneous combustion, then I don't know what! t could be." Tuck said most of the fires started In the walls of the house, which was wired for electricity and has a metal roof. The interior has been gutted. County Road Commissioner Leslie R. Hutto, who also in vestigated, said in his opinion a chemical reaction was to blame. He scraped a knife across the mantle and flames flared up. "The flames were reddish blue, and it looked like sul phur burning," Hutto said. Mexican Police End Demonstration Mexico City - OD - Troops and police used tear' gas Thursday night to break up mob of 30,000 students staging a demonstration at the university here. More than 100 persons were injured. The demonstration was the latest of a series of disorders touched off during the past week by an increase of 4-10 of a cent in bus fares, order ed to offset a recent rise fn bus drivers' wages. Ogden R. Reid, president and editor of the newspaper, said the Reid family would retain "a substantial interest." He said he would continue, at.Whitney's request, as chief executive officer of the news paper during the "transition" period. Whitney will remain in London as ambassador to Great Britain until January, 1961.
