12 MAIL TRIBUNE, MedforJ, Oregon, TuevJjy, August 12, 1958 Grange News Sold Hill Grange Highlights of the last meet ing of Gold Hill Grange Thursday, Aug. 7, was the report of the lecturer, on the State Grange session held in Eugene last June. This report was late due to the fact that the lecturer went from Eugene to Illinois and then to Los Angeles, be fore returning to Gold Hill. The report, which took 20 minutes to give was a review of the program and the vari ous resolutions, 72 in all, which the Grange acted upon. Some of these resolutions may come before the state cf Oregon as a . whole, for what benefits the Grange is cf benefit to all. A great deal of stress was laid on the importance of community service. An ex ample of service was demon strated by the Lane county Pomona Grange. This Grange had been in the marketing business and had consider able cash in the bank. This enabled the Grange to pur chase the Lane County Fair grounds which they now own and which is used for a great number of organizations for meetings of various kinds. Among the organizations which are benefited, in ad dition to the Grange, are such groups as the 4-H, the FFA and others. The lecturer told of many instances of Granges in Il linois cooperating to give aid to members in "time of dis aster, such as fires or hail storms, and also to the repair- YES, YOU ARE Sacramento, Calif.
