Resident Here Following Trip Bruno Pellegrini, 327 South Oakdale avenue, returned last week from a three weeks visit to Buffalo, N.Y. While there he and Mrt. Pellegrini were guests of Dr. and Mrs. Robert Sercrist. Prior to returning to the Medford area they attended two productions, "A Winter's Tale" and "Henry IV", at the Shakespearean Festival, Strat ford, Ontario, Canada. The couple also visited Nia gara Falls and toured the Steuben glass factory at Corn ing. N. Y. Mrs. Pellegrini plans to re turn to the valley later this month. For an easy but elegant dessert, combine equal parts of honey, butter or margar ine, and shipped cream. Pile the mixture high on hot baked apples and top with slivered toasted almonds. ' Friday: 1 p.m. The Fifty Plus club Lima Dressing New York (DID A tossed green salad becomes a new flavor treat with this unusual fresh lime French dressing. For V cups of dressing, combine 1 cup salad oil with i teaspoon salt, Vi teaspoon dry mustard, 116 teaspoon white pepper, 1 clove peeled garlic and 2 teaspoons' finely chopped onion. Let stand 1 hour, remove garlic, add 13 cup fresh lime juice and 1 egg white. Beat with a rotary beater and toss with crisp greens. Group to Hear National Reports ' The next Royal Neighbors of America meeting will be Thursday, August 7, at 8 p.m. in the Knights of Pythias hall. Mrs. Elsa Walker will report on the national convention held in Los Angeles, Calif., in June. She was a state delegate. On July 24 members of the organization and their guests met for a picnic sup per at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Randy Hugdahl, 2230 Canal street, Medford. Mem bers having birthdays in July were honored with a cake. After the dinner Mrs. Frank Perl showed slide pic tures taken during her trip abroad. Summer Salad . New York (DPD : For an easily made summer salad, moisten grated carrot with tart french dressing and heap into rings of green papper. Meal Today Prepared In One-Fifth Time Washington (CPD The housewife of today can pre pare a meal in about one-fifth the tune it lock her 30 years ago. The Department of Agricul ture released figures showing the kitchen time for preparing a day's food for a family of four.. When all the prepara tion was done at home, the time amounted to 5.5 hours. When the homemaker used ready to serve and prepared foods, the time spent in the kitchen was only 1.6 hours. SOMETHING BORROWED Bridgeport, Conn. (UPI) Not only the bride had some thing borrowed at this wed ding. Walter Williams, the best man, had to borrow $75 to post bond after being ar rested for speeding en route to the ceremony. Fellowship Plans Wednesday Meet The Christian Women's Fel lowship will hold its monthly business and general meeting at 10:45 a.m. Wednesday, Aug ust 6, at the First Christian church. Following the " meeting . a luncheon will be served by the Shoemaker circle, under the direction of Mrs. William Roberts, Mrs. A. J. Carlile and Mrs. Frank Chapman. At 1:30 p.m. the afternoon program, which will include a study and worship, will be held. Mrs. M. E. Olson, assist ed by Hopkins will offer the worship. The lesson will deal with family life. 7!
