Four foreign srudanis and thair director were visitor!
in the Rogue River valley last week. The students were
guests of the Medford Junior Chamber of Commerce
while here. Following their arrival Tuesday a small
reception was held at the Harlan P. Bosworth Jr. resi

July 30, at a dinner party
in the Candle Room of the
Medford hotel.
Guests at the dinner were

Returns
Mr. and Mrs. Clay M. Lee,
Cargill court, Medford, have
returned from a two weeks
vacation' during which they
toured Oregon, Idaho, Mon
tana, Wyoming, Utah, Ne
vada, and California. The
Greyhound tour included a
several day stop-over at both
Yellowstone National park
and in Salt Lake City.

Dehle. Oslo, Norway; Miss Laverne Brady, conductor of
the tour from North Carolina; Albert Burger, Lucerne,

Robert Widmer. St. Gall, Switzerland. The group loured
a pear orchard and fruit packing company as well as
a lumber firm.

Mr. and Mrs. Thomas J.
Reeder, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd E.
Lewis, and Mr. and Mrs.
Charles Jones.

Wednesday the group ac
companied by Charles N E.
Jones, Jaycee chairman, visit
ed valley industries. They
watched pear picking at Hill
crest orchards and the pack
ing of the fruit at Pinnacle
Packing company. Following
lunch at the Rogue Valley
Country club, the group
toured Medford corporation
where Chandler Drew ex
plained the process from the
logpond to the shipping de
partment. That evening the students
accompanied by Mr. and Mrs.
Jones attended the Ashland
Shakespearean festival pro
duction of "Merchant of
Venice."'
Thursday morning the
group left for San Francisco.
Prior to their arrival in the
valley, the group traveled
through the Badlands of the
Dakotas, attended a rodeo at
Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, and
Crater Lake National park.
Medford and Salem were the
only Oregon cities visited by
the group.

From Sweden
Visits Relatives
Several t Medford families
will entertain a relative from
Stockholm, Sweden, during
the next lew weeks. Eric Ner
hammer of Stockholm arrived
here July 19 for his second
visit to Oregon in 30 years.
During his stay here Mr.
Nerhammer is visiting Mr.
and Mrs.rRobert E. Nelson,
Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Nelson,
Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Nelson,
and Dr. and Mrs. Gene Cham
berlain. The Nelsons are all
nephews of the visitor and
Mrs. Chamberlain is a grand
niece. Additional Medford visitors
are Mr. Nerhammer's two
nieces from Portland, Mrs.
Alice Stafford and Mrs. Ber
nie Lazarus, and Mr. Lazarus.
Mr. Nerhammer plans to
remain in Oregon for two
mdhths, leaving by train for
Chicago in September to visit
other relatives. He will leave
from New York by ship for
Sweden. From Medford he
will go to the Portland area
where a number of other rel
atives live including a broth

ing with the United States Air
Force at Dow Air Force Base,
