George Bell, Jr., son of Mr.
and Mrs. George Bell, has re
ceived his draft notice and is
to report at the Grants Pass
office Monday, July 28.
The Illinois Valley Grange
potluck picnic is slated for
Sunday, July 27, at noon in
Grayback park. The Grange
will furnish the home-made
ice cream and drinks. Each
family is reminded to bring
its own table service.
Birthday dinners have been
in order with the Dwain and
Marvin Cross families this
past week. On July 17, Mar
vin Cross was honored with
a dinner at the home of his
son and daughter-in-law1 and

Nun Invited To Fly

pilot a jet plane faster than

"The Navy in San Francis
co, has invited me to fly a
Cougar," the Sister said. "I

of her teaching schedule dur
ing the next two weeks at
