The girls' names are Sherry, Mary Jo, Kitty and Patty. Mrs. Marge Thompson and Ronney have returned to Palo Alto, Calif., after a brief visit in the Meadows. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Matti son of Grants Pass were visit ing in the Meadows Sunday. Gene Arnold of Jackson ville, who died recently, was a former resident of the Meadows. Mr. and Mrs. F. G. Ha worth and Ronda of Butte Band Concert Set In Park Wednesday A concert by members of the Medford public school band session will be held in the city park next to the li brary at 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 23, I. A. Mirick, band director, has announced. The concert will include the elementary school, junior high and senior high bands, he said. About 400 youngsters are registered in the summer band and orchestra program, in cluding a large number in baton twirling. The beginners band class will hold its recital in the Medford High school auditor ium Friday. Parents and friends have been invited. Falls, visited at the Vincent Hunt home Sunday. Mrs. Guy Bishop was re ported to be ill last week. Some of the Meadows Sun day school group picnicked at Willow lake Sunday. Merrifield Speaks At GOP Meeting John Merrifield, Portland, state chairman of the Repub 1 i c a n candidates assistance committee, told local . GOP candidates this week it is necessary to. elect to the state legislature responsible repre sentatives who will not be controlled by any special in terest groups. "Jackson county has one of the most outstanding slates of Republican candidates of any area in the state," he said, and pointed out that Mrs. Evelyn Nye, Melvin Lattie and Dr. Edwin Druno are the caliber of individuals Jackson county can be proud to have as its representatives.
