(UPI) Hamilton College has an nounced a $100,000 grant from the Irene Heinz Given and John La Porte Given Founda tion of New York. Robert W. McEwen, president of the up state college, said the money will be used by Hamilton's teaching departments. NEW LOUDSPEAKER Syracuse, N.Y., (UPI) General Electric Co. has an nounced development of a 9xl2-inch elliptical loudspeak er, the largest it, has ever en gineered for commercial tele vision or radio. The speaker will become part of a coaxial sound system that will be part of the company's 1959 line of television receivers. Flowers-by-Wire Sales Increasing Chicago (UPI) Eugene R. Daudelin, president of the nation-wide Florists Tele graph Delivery Association, says flowers-by-wire sales are increasing. Daudelin said nationwide flowers-by-wire orders report ed by FTD's 11,000 members totaled "close to five million for the first nine months of the current fiscal year ended June 30. This is an increase of more than eight per cent over the same period a year ago, he added, and represents a dollar volume of $58,738,600, 10 per cent higher than a year ago.
