Gosch became the bride of
Virgil Allen Wilkes in a pri
vate ceremony held June 28
at the Sacred Heart Catholic
rectory. The Rev. John Ilg
officiated at the double ring
ceremony held at four o'clock
in the afternoon and attended
only by family members.
The bride is a daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Everett Gosch,
243 North Ivy street. Mr.
Wilkes is a son of Mr. and
Mrs. Virgil R. Wilkes, 96
Clover lane.
Pink and white gladiolus
decorated the rectory for the
event.
The bride wore a white silk
organza waltz length frock
fashioned with fitted bodice
and bouffant skirt. Her hat
was of white horsehair braid
with silk tulle trim and she
carried a cascade bouquet of
stephanotis and baby roses.
Mrs. William Driscoll at
tended her sister. She wore a
lime green crystallette frock
and carried a colonial nosegay
of pink daisies.
Donald F. Legget, Fort
Klamath, served as best man.
Following the ceremony a
dinner' was held at the Gosch
home for 20 relatives and
close friends. Mrs. John Cox
was in charge of arrange
ments. That evening a reception!
at the Rogue room of the Med-!
ford hotel was attended by
75 relatives and friends. Mrs.
J. E. Russell and her daugh-
tre, Miss Diana Russell, cut
and served the wedding cake

The couple are making their
home on Clover lane follow
ing their return from a wed
ding trip to central Oregon
and the coast. For her travel
ing attire the bride wore a
sheath frock of blue print silk
with white accessories and
pink rose corsage.
The bride is a graduate of
St. Mary's High school. Mr.
Wilkes attended Medford
High school and Southern
Oregon college where he will
be a senior this fall. He serv
ed two years with the armed
forces in Korea.

at her home at 66 Clover lane.

Dinner Honors
Richard Isaacs
The staff of the Central
Point branch, First National
bank, honored Richard Isaacs,
retiring manager of the
branch, and Mrs. Isaacs, at a
dinner last Wednesday eve
ning at the Dardanelle in
Gold Hill. Mr. Isaacs, who
has been manager of the
branch since its establishment
in December, 1947, has been
made assistant manager of
the Hedford branch.
Also guests at the dinner
were Francis C. Ayres, who
has been transferred from the
Medford branch and made
manager of the Central Point
establishment, and Mrs.
Avers.
Twenty-four attended the
dinner. During the evening
Mrs. Isaacs was presented a
corsage, and the staff pre
sented Mr. Isaacs a farewell
gift.

Mrs. Cornelia DuBois of
Minneapolis arrived in Med
ford Thursday by plane to
spend week with relatives
here. The visitor is a cousin
of Mrs. Richard D- Werner,
Mrs. Grance Fiero and Mrs.
James Stevens, all of Med
ford. Mrs. DuBois, a daughter of
Dr Roy Andrews, is a niece
of Ed and George Andrews,
nationally known musicians
and theatrical personalities
who at one time lived in Med

Gain Robinsons
Home From Tour
Mr. and Mrs. Gain Robin
son, 1018 South Oakdale
avenue have returned to their
home following a two-months
trip to Europe.
The Robinsons toured in
Portugal, Spain, the Island of
Majorca, Italy, Holland and
England. In addition to trips
throughout the countries they
attended a bull fight in Port
ugal and mentioned the beau
tiful flower auctions of Hol
land. ' They spent several days in
New York before flying West.

pink orchids.
Following the ceremony a
reception was held in the
church parlors. Mrs. Russell
E. Jones, aunt of the bride,
cut and served the bride's
cake while Miss Karen Mc
Kinley presided at the punch
bowl. Mrs. Kenneth L. Brown,
sister-in-law of the bride
groom, and Mrs. David Jones
poured the coffee. Miss Mar
jorie Barg was in charge of
the guest book and Mrs. Ger
ald Bready and Mrs. Wesley
Shirley were at the gift tables.
The newlywed couple will
make their home in Oakland,
Calif., following a wedding
trip down the coast. For her
traveling attire the bride wore
a light blue dress with white
accessories.
The bride plans to complete
her studies at Oregon State
college next spring. Mr.
Brown was graduated from
Medford High school and Ore
gon State college where he
received his commission in the
United States Air Force as a
second lieutenant last month.
He will be employed by
Gerber Baby Foods company
in Oakland until he reports
for active duty next April.
