o o 1 Ceremony Weds Pair Miss Nancy Morgan, daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Mor gan, 904o Wabash avenue, Medford, became the bride of Richard John Clparwatr rsi Humphry street, Medford, in a ceremony held June 7 at First Presbyterian church. Mr. Clearwater is a son of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Gilbert, Alder manor, Wash. The Rev. John O. Reynolds officiated at the 2:30 o'clock afternoon single ring cer mony attended by 28 rela tives and friens. The bride wore an embroi dered acetate frgck fashioned with blue jacket and ballerina length white pleated skirt. She carried white carnations and pink rosebuds. Attending the couple were Mr. and Mrs. Morgan. Following the ceremony a reception was held at the Morgan home. Miss Dorothy Lemings poured the coffee and Mrs. Barbara Morgan cut and served v.the cake. Miss Loretta Caldwell poured the punch. The newlywed couple are making their home on Hum phry street here following their return from a wedding trip to Seattle, Wash. For her traveling attire the bride chose a sheath dress of grey and black stripe with black and white accessories. . The bride attended Med ford schools. Mr. Clearwater is an apprentice pressman at Commercial Printing com pany. . Rinards Return From California Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Rinard, 1708 Thomas rd., have re turned home after spending a vacation in Laguna Beach, Calif., with their son-in-law and daughter, M. Sgt. and Mrs. Stanley Smith. The Rinards went south to attend the graduation of their grandson, Sidney J. Smith, from Laguna Beach High school. Miss Judy Wymore, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Brown of Medford, ac companied the Rinards south and spnt a few days with the Smiths. The Rinards were away for two weeks. The single-ring cere mony was read by the Rev. Perry Johnson, pastor of Phoenix Baptist church, at 7:30 o'clock in the evening. More than 40 relatives and close friends attended the wedding and reception. White streamers and pink roses with arrangements of pink snapdragons, pink spirea and white Ester Reed daisies in two tall white baskets made up the setting for the wed ding in the garden at the Croucher's home. The bride wore a white satin sheath dress trimmed with pink embroidered roses, and worn with a pink satin cummerbund. Matron of honor was Mrs. Keith Kimmons, Medford, sis ter of the bridegroom. Mrs. Kimmons wore a frock of lav ender sheen chambray with white accessories and carried a bouquet of white Ester Reed daisies. David Byeres, M e d f o r d, served as best man for the groom. Of interest is the fact that the Rev. Perry Johnson, who performed the ceremony, is the son of the Rev. Joseph Johnson who officiated at the wedding ceremony of the bridegroom's parents when they were married in his home in Central Point No vember 3, 1933. At that time he was pastor of the Federat ed Church in Central Point. A reception followed the wedding ceremony. The bride's table was centered with a wedding cake encircled by pink and white sweet peas and flanked by pink tapers in crystal hurricane lamps. Mrs. Kimmons baked and decorat ed the three tier cake and was in charge of all decorations for the wedding and reception. Mrs. Royal Gray, Gold Hill. sister of the bride, cut and served the wedding cake. A pearl handled cake knife, used for several wedding re ceptions of the bridegroom's family, was loaned for the oc casion by Mrs. Fred W. Lyon, 115 Clover lane, Medford, aunt of the bridegroom. Miss Helen Hood, Gold Hill, poured coffee and Miss Jessie Wil lard, Central Point, presided at the punch bowl and was in charge of the guest book. The gift table was attended by Miss Sandra Croucher and Miss Tamara Croucher, Cen tral Point, sisters of the bride groom. For her daughter's wedding and reception Mrs. Malone wore a light blue polished cot ton frock and white accesso ries. Her corsage was white carnations. The bridegroom's mother wore a pink and white print silk dress with white accessories and a white carnation corsage. Among the guests were grandparents of the bridegroom,- Mrs. Una McGonagle, and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Croucher, all Medford. The bride attended schools at Gold Hill and Crater High school in Central Point where she was among the graduat ing seniors June 5. Mr. Croucher attended West Side school and is a graduate of Crater High school. He at tended Southern Oregon col lege, Ashland, before entering last year. He was awarded a state scholarship to OTI for school at the Oregon Techni cal Institute in Klamath Falls next year. The newlyweds will reside in Central Point until going to Klamath Falls in September. The bride groom is now employed at the Williams and Croucher garage in Medford. Klines Attend Amateur Trial Mr. and. Mrs. C. Weldon Kline, 18, , South Groveland avenue, left yesterday for Point Reyes, Calif., to attend the National Amateur Field trial to be held July 2-5. Mr. Kline's labrador, Bracken's Flash, is one of 59 dogs in the United States to qualify for the trial. The Klines will be among the guests at a cocktail and buffet supper to be given by Mr. and Mrs. Cyril Tobin and Mrs. Walter Heller at Mrs. Heller's home in San Raphael during the event. Also qualified for the trial is Jupiter's Golden Comet, golden retriever owned by Irvin Warren of Medford. Constance Clark Wed to Hugh Lawrence Lis ter, Jr. An event of Saturday, June 21, was the wedding of Miss Constance Louise Clark to Hugh Lawrence Lister Jr., which took place at First Presbyterian church. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack M. Hartley, 59 Rose avenue, and the bridegroom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. H. Lawrence Lister, Portland. The newlyweds flew to Ha waii for their honeymoon, and will be at home in Seattle in late July. The marriage ceremony was read at three o'clock in the afternoon by Dr. D. Kirkland West, and Mr. Hartley gave the bride in marriage. She wore a gown of eyelet em broidered white organdy with shoulder-length veil and car ried gardenias and white rose buds. Miss Gloria Neilson was the honor attendant. Her frock was yellow, and white embroi dered organdy and she car ried Ester Reed daisies. Brenda Hartley, sister of the bride, and Linda Davis, niece of the bridegroom, were flow er girls. They wore dresses of yeUow organdy and car ried baskets of petals. The bride's mother wore a beige chemise frock with matching accessories and cor sage of orchids. The bride groom's mother wore a teal blue chiffon frock with blue accessories and corsage of gar denias and pink rosebuds. Gerald Gritsch, Burlingame, Calif., , a fraternity brother, was best man and seating the guests were Robert Armanino, San Mateo, Calif., and Mi chael Hartley, brother of the bride. Miss Sonja Petersen, so rority sister of the bride," was organist and Miss Mary Lou Anderson, Los Angeles, sang. Church decorations were in white and yeUow, with white bows on the pews and baskets of white gladiolus and white and yellow daisies providing a setting for the bridal party. A reception for about 100 guests was given by Mrs. Lloyd Neilson at her home, 2130 East Jackson boulevard. Mrs. William Youngson cut the wedding cake, Mrs. Ger ald Gritsch served punch and pouring coffee were Mrs. Pat rick Davis, Portland, and Mrs. Louis Powell, CorvaUis. Miss Sharon . Jean Merkel took charge of the guest book. The wedding cake had been made and decorated by Mrs. Neilson, Miss Sandra Hub bard and the bride's mother. Following the 5 reception, members of the two families gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Houston R. Pitts, Old Military road, for dinner. The bride was graduated from Willamette university, Salem, with a bachelor's, de gree in sociology, and was president of her sorority, Pi Beta Phi. The bridegroom is also a graduate of Willamette university, his degree being in psychology, and he is now studying at the University of Washington for a master's de gree in social case work. His fraternity is Sigma Chi, and he is a past president of the psychology honor society, Psi Chi, at Willamette university. A reception was held at the Twentieth Century club. . The newlyweds flew to San Francisco Saturday to em bark for Honolulu Sunday for a lengthy honeymoon. They will live in San Francisco. Mor ris, formerly of Medford, at the First Congregational church, Eugene, Saturday, June 21, at eight o'clock in the evening. J. Stanley Bar low of Westminster house, University of Oregon campus, officiated at the double ring ceremony attended by 200 relatives and friends. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carlos Teague, Roseburg. Mr. Morris is a son of Mrs. A. M. Davis, Azalea, Ore., and C. A. Morris, To oeka, Kan. For her wedding the bride wore a floor length white silk taffeta gown with schiffli em broidery trim; The bouffant skirt terminated in a chapel train and her fingertip veil of French illusion was held by a white taffeta bow. She carried a cascade bouquet of white majestic daisies and white stock. Mr. Teague gave his daughter in marriage. Miss Jeanne Hardesty was maid of honor and other at tendants were Miss Diane Hy land bridesmaid, and Mrs. Clarke C u b b a g e and Mrs. Keith Miller, bridesmatrons, all of Portland. They wore white organdy frocks with braid trim and matching headdresses and carried arm bouquets of blue majestic daisies. Candlelighters were Patty Brownell and Tom Teague, cousins of the bride. Donald Wilkinson, 'Med ford, served as best man while Dan Morris, Medford, brother of the bridegroom, Herbert Nill, Pat Burrington, both Eugene, and David Ram stead, Portland, seated the guests. Eldon Penttila was soloist. Following the ceremony a reception was held at the Village Green room of the Eugene hotel. Assisting with the reception were Mrs. Charles Teague, Mrs. Pierre Van Rysselberghe, both Eu gene; Mrs. W. L. Her accessories were white. They both wore orchid cor sages. - The newlyweds will make their home in Los Angeles, Calif., following a wedding trip to the coast. There Mr. Morris will go into training with the Los Angeles Rams of the National Professional Football league. For her trav eling attire the bride wore royal blue and white silk print dress with matching blue knit coat and white ac cessories. The bride attended Eugene High school and Oregon State college. The bridegroom5 at tended Medford High school and the University of Oregon. Mr. Morris was a star in foot ball, basketball and track while attending Medford High school and was three-year varsity man at the university. He played in the 1958 Rose Bowl game for Oregon's Pa cific coast conferene cham pionship team, and is consid ered locally one of Medford High's all-time great athletes.
