The fiery evangelist hurled his shutout before the biggest crowd ever to jam the ball park. The meeting was the climax to Graham's seven week San Francisco crusade. Speaking from a platform at second base, Graham looked at the crowd that filled the stands and most of the out field grass and said: "I knew Willie Mays could fill Seals Stadium, but I'm glad to know God can do it too." Considered Beginning In his final sermon, Gra ham warned that the Crusade finale should be considered a beginning instead of an end. "We have to go back to our homes now, to our jobs, our labor unions," he said. "Are we going to work with God from now on? "Satan would like nothing better than to divide us. Un less a new cohesiveness comes into our churches, this cru sade will have failed In its objectives." At the end of his message, he invited his hearers to step forward and make a Decision for Christ. "If you don't come now, you may never again as long as you live. Don't let anyone keep you away." Most Conversions From all parts of the sta dium, 1354 persons came for ward to take their places at the foot of the platform. It was the largest number of conversions in the crusade. It brought to 26,969 the total number of San Francisco decisions for Christ. Total at tendance was 734,525. - Graham had been conduct ing his crusade in the mam moth Cow Palace. That phase of the crusade ended a week ago Sunday. The Seals Sta dium rally was the final meet ing. Graham opens a week-long crusade in Sacramento, Calif., next Sunday. North California Authorities Look For Cop Killer Hayfork, Calif. (UPI) Some 100 laymen, aided by helicopters, today resumed their search on 7,900-foot Du kabella mountain in Trinity county in a vast manhunt for George Edward Cole, 31, San Francisco police killer and one of the FBI's 10 most want ed men. But as new roads were dis covered, unknown even to long-time residents of the wild area, fears were voiced that the elusive killer might once again have escaped the law. The area of the search is one of the most rugged in Cali fornia. Operators Alerted Gas station operators In the area and road block teams were alerted that Cole might be headed their way. Humboldt County Deputy Sheriff James Boyer chased a man he was "sure" was Cole in a hectic, high-speed 50- mile chase Sunday, during which Boyer said he hit the suspect's car twice with re volver shots. Boyer said he was tipped Sunday that Cole was at a public dance at Carlotta in Humboldt county. But the deputy arrived on the scene after the suspect had left. As Boyer was driving to nearby Hydesville, he saw a two-tone Pontiac sedan, simi lar to the car reportedly driven by Cole. "I flashed my light in the driver's face, and I believe it was Cole," Boyer said. "I tried to hook bumpers with his car. I fired at him; I did everything I could to stop him." But he lost Cole's trail in the maze of old logging roads that crisscross the face of the mountain. Sought for Two Years Cole has been sought since he shot Policeman Joseph Lacy two years ago in a San Francisco tenderloin holdup. He was reared in the Eureka area and police have received several reports from old ac quaintances who saw him re cently. - Helicopters from Redding and Fort Lewis, Wash., were on the scene to watch for dust clouds that Cole's car might raise from mountain roads. Men from eight agencies, including the Fish and Game Department, were involved in the search.
