Friday Normal In PCL After Hectic Week United Press International Things returned to normal Friday after a hectic week in the Pacific Coast league. All four v first division teams turned on the power to win their respective games. But even so, none were easy. Vancouver took its first game in four starts against fifth place Portland, edging past the Beavers, 6-5. Phoenix downed Sacramento, 1-0, San Diego slipped by Spokane, 6-5 while Salt Lake compiled the widest margin in beating Seattle, 8-5, and in the proc ess tied a PCL record with three consecutive home runs. Vancouver and Portland were tied 2-2 going into the top of the eighth frame when the Mounties suddenly un wound for four runs, two of them off Beaver errors. That looked like pretty much the game. But in Port land's ninth Jack Littrell came close to tying it up by smashing a three-run homer, his seventh this season. Joe Durham hit a two run round tripper for the Mounties in the first inning. Since that time the mark has been bet tered by Derek Ibottson and Elliott, but both men report edly used "pacers" and the International committee is loath to accept such marks.
