The auxiliary will meet June 26 for the last meeting of the summer. The Crater Grandmothers club held a potluck luncheon Monday at the home of Mrs. Tropical Sform Blows Self Out Brownsville, Tex. (UPI) The first tropical storm of the brand-new hurricane sea son battered itself out Sun day in the Rio Grande valley, almost as quickly as it sprang up overnight in the Gulf of Mexico. As far as storms go, Alma was a weak sister. Winds reached only 50 miles per hoift a the height of the storm Sunday morning. Its center Siit a. few miles south of Brownsville. The first tropical storm of lt season was Audrey, the killer hurricane that struck Cameroft Parish, La., with the loss of 353 lives and millions of dollars in damage. Audrey came 12 days later by the calendar than Alma. Mrs. John Blackford -reported that their nephew, Milton Blackford, is doing as good as can "be expected. Mil ton is in Rogue Valley hospi tal following an accident which occurred at Happy Camp June 8.
