Mrs. Smith had not seen her brother for 30 years. They ferried across from Naniamo. En route home they visited in Victoria, Canada, before again taking the ferry to Van couver. Mrs. Tom Burnfiel of Jack sonville, her daugter, Mrs. E C. Moore and son, Denny, of Klamath Falls, left this week end for Portland where Den ny will undergo plastic surg ery on scars resulting from a recent automobile accident. He will be at the Good Samar itan hospital. They plan to be home within a week. E. Hamilton. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Stevens visited their daughter and son- in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Stevens, at Lebanon over Memorial Day weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Noel and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Godley made a one day trip to Cres cent City last Sunday. Word has been received by friends here that Loyal Fitch, son of Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Fitch, was to graduate at the Fortuna Union High school Friday, June 13, in California Loyal's mother is the former Elizabeth White of Jackson ville and Fitch is from Ash land. They now make their home in Scotia, Calif. Russel D. Wall, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Wall, of Sterl ing road is home on a 30-day leave from the Navy base at Alameda, Calif. Wall until re cently was aboard the USS Hancock. He graduated from Jacksonville High school in, 1953. Mrs. J. B. Noble was hostess last week for a birthday lunch eon honoring Mrs. Ray Cole man on her birthday. Others present were Mrs. R. J. Tet reault and Mrs. Lee Wright. Later the group visited Mrs. G. W. Godward and viewed her flower garden. Birthday guests at the home of Mrs. Ray Coleman were her sister, Mrs. Linnie Rapp, of Talent and another sister; Mrs. Bell Crawford, and her granddaughter, Barbara, of Tulelake, Calif.
